One teen is dead and another injured after a double stabbing on the streets of Chelsea last night, according to police.

Chelsea and state police responded to reports of an incident on Eastern Avenue around 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, finding two male victims when they arrived, according to the Suffolk DA’s office. One of the victims died and the other survived his injuries, the DA’s office said.

The victims have not been identified.

“Violence like this shocks and saddens our immediate neighborhoods and our entire society, as it should, especially when the victims are so young. We move forward best when we have help from the community and we hope anyone with information about this tragic incident will contact us,” Hayden said.

One victim, 17, was transported to CHA Everett Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The second victim, 15, was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to Chelsea police.

“Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and the entire Chelsea community as we work diligently to bring those responsible to justice,” said Chelsea Police Chief Keith E. Houghton.
