From April 7-16, consumers will gather at the Jacob Javits Convention Center to experience first-hand what their favorite manufacturers have to offer. As consumers continue to feel the brunt of increased vehicle pricing due to inflation, the conversation with manufacturers revolves around what consumers can afford and whether now is the time to transition to EV. As the 123rd Auto Show begins, manufacturers bring their entire lineups in hopes of attracting consumers to alternative options.

With more than 83,000 square feet of indoor EV fun, the 1st floor test track allows consumers to jump behind the wheel and test drive their favorite manufacturers EV products. Signed up this year are Chevrolet, VW, Nissan, Kia and BMW. Additionally, there will be an array of exhibitors to discuss everything EV. On level 1 the Saratoga Auto Museum will have classics on display as well as a hometown heroes section that is filled with Police, Fire and other cool displays to witness.

At the NYIAS this year, Thrilling Experiences top the level of interest for consumers. Camp Jeep comes back this year, with its ever-popular display of outdoor fun. Consumers can sign up to experience Jeep Wranglers in rough terrain and steep inclines as trying out the Wrangler in its primary use is all the craze. Toyota hits the nail on the head with their 2023 experience. Enjoy an “on-ice” experience where professional drivers take consumers on a ride that places a car into a 90 degree reverse j-turn on synthetic ice. This is sure to get your heart rate moving!

Ford and Hyundai will incorporate their experiences on their very own EV test tracks in their booths on the main floor similar to last year. Additionally, Audi, BMW and Genesis are back and overall have a really nice size display.

As pricing still tops the conversation for consumers, manufacturers continue to cringe. With more than 150 vehicles slated on the docket from more than 25 manufacturers, consumers get the opportunity to ask questions to public relations staff, engineers and even influential design staff. Enjoy sitting in vehicles, experiencing hands-on usability, while enjoying what the 123rd New York International Auto Show has to offer. Let’s not forget about Exotics. They are back with supercars and hypercars on display from Koenigsegg and Lamborghini and others.

As vehicles flood the Javits Center, we notice some that we have already reviewed in 2023. This includes the Kia Niro PHEV, Infiniti Q50 and Kia Telluride that all are on display for consumers to enjoy. More vehicles on display are already scheduled in Grasso’s Garage for us to review this year such as Subaru and BMW, so the sneak peek was great.

The New York International Auto Show will be located at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center at 429 11th Ave. in New York City. Hours for the Auto Show are to be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7pm Sunday.
