


Alex Bohm, 57, of Newton, was killed after a UPS truck collided with his bicycle at the intersection of Bridge and Watertown streets in Newton Monday.
Police responded to the scene at 5:24 p.m. where they found Bohm suffering from his injuries. He was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital and pronounced dead, according to the Middlesex District Attorney’s office.
The driver of the truck, a 57-year-old Newton man, remained at the scene to speak with police. The DA’s office said it, along with the Newton Police Department and Massachusetts State Police, are investigating and that no charges have been filed.
“We are saddened by the news from Newtown, MA. Our team is collaborating with authorities,” a UPS spokesperson said in a statement. “On behalf of UPS, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the families and individuals affected by this tragic event.”
