The Celtics still need to take care of business by winning one more game against the Hawks, but barring a complete disaster, they’ll face the rival 76ers in the second round.
With their Game 4 victory in Atlanta on Sunday night, the C’s took a 3-1 series lead and they can close out the series in Game 5 on Tuesday night in Boston. The 76ers, who completed a sweep over the Nets on Saturday, are already waiting for them. If and when the Celtics clinch a berth in the second round, the NBA already has the schedule set for a Boston-Philadelphia series. There are two potential schedules, one for if the Celtics beat the Hawks in five games and one pending a series victory in six or seven games.
