In the Tri-Valley League, senior Arav Prajapati threw five innings of shutout ball, allowing just two hits while striking out six to propel Holliston during a 2-1 victory over Medfield.

Luke Joyce fanned eight over six innings, allowing two earned runs and going 2-for-3 with two RBI at the plate as Braintree (7-2) bested Framingham 9-2 in the Bay State Conference. Sean Canavan tallied three hits and an RBI, and Mike Ryan drove in a run for the Wamps. … Zahgros Tanner struck out nine over six innings and gave up six hits and one earned run, while Leandro Perez (run, RBI, walk) and Drew Boucher (double, two RBI) had two hits each as Newton North defeated Needham, 4-2. … Sophomores Niko Rabiner and Kyu Miller combined for six strikeouts and six hits allowed over seven innings, while Eli Hoffman went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs as Brookline edged Weymouth, 6-5.

In the Commonwealth Athletic Conference, Will Trach earned his fifth win of the season by tossing a complete game shut-out as Shawsheen (10-0) remained undefeated with a 10-0 (6 inn) win over Greater Lowell. … Ollie Lorrenz pitched six innings, striking out eight and allowing one hit and one walk, while Sam Ravela scored three times and Soup Campbell drove in three runs as Minuteman defeated Lynn Tech, 8-0.

David McNaught doubled and Caine Allen hit a two-run single as Whitman-Hanson (7-2) defeated North Quincy 7-5 in Patriot League play. Allen struck out five and surrendered one hit over three and two-thirds innings of relief for the Panthers.

Brayan Jose hit an RBI double to plate Aidan Brett for the deciding run, and Billy Gavin got out of a bases-loaded, one-out jam in the bottom of the seventh as Malden (11-1) held on to defeat Everett 3-2 in the Greater Boston League. … Alex Gazzola hit a bases-clearing triple as Medford (5-4) defeated Lynn English, 8-6. … George Papalambros struck out three over seven scoreless innings, and Brendan Sack drove in Dom Bellia for the winning run as Revere edged Lynn Classical, 1-0.

Riley Cabrera drove in five runs on four hits (including a home run) to power Newton South in a 15-3 Dual County League win over Boston Latin.

BOYS LACROSSE

Peyton Volz buried five goals and added an assist, while Lucas Bailey registered his first career goal as Southeastern coasted to a 10-2 romp of Mayflower Athletic Conference opponent Old Colony.

Lee Spry (hat trick, assist), Matthew Grafton (goal, five assists), Gunner Hanna (hat trick, assist) and Tate Eriksen (hat trick) each had great days offensively as Abington erupted for a 15-6 win over Rockland in the South Shore League. … Gus Greene (six goals, two assists), Shane Mulcahy (hat trick, two assists) and Max Monahan (goal, five assists) each lit up the scoreboard, as Cohasset (8-2) returned to its winning ways with an 18-1 romp of Mashpee. … Cole Rodgers scored five goals and supplied three assists as Sandwich (7-3) defeated Hull, 15-6.

Chase Ruberti netted the winning goal in overtime for Essex Tech in an 8-7 Cape Ann League victory over North Reading.

In the Catholic Central League, Clare Latham registered a hat trick to power Bishop Feehan during a 17-6 win over Cardinal Spellman.

Kayla Nota (six goals, assist) and Kelly Gaudet (four goals, two assists) fueled things offensively for South Shore Voke (3-7) during a 16-6 win over Bristol Aggie in the Mayflower Athletic Conference.

In the Cape Ann League, Maisie Leland (four goals), Evie Bernard (three goals) and Avery Nistl (three goals) each had banner days on the attack as Hamilton-Wenham (5-2) rolled to a 19-2 victory over Georgetown.

Sara MacLeod struck for four goals, while Giovanna Gulinello and Kendra Marino registered two goals each as Billerica (5-6) defeated Winchester 12-8 in a nonleague matchup. … Senior Olivia Thibert (four goals) sniped the go-ahead tally with 5:06 left in regulation, and sophomore Phoebe Braga recorded 13 saves in the cage to lead Dighton-Rehoboth (7-4) during a thrilling 11-9 win over Bridgewater-Raynham.

In a Tri-Valley League game, Kendall Herrick tallied five goals and two assists while Stella Scobbo added another four goals to lead Medfield to a 20-8 victory over Ashland.

SOFTBALL

Elsie Testa (four innings) and Ella Franey (three innings) combined to toss a one-hit shutout, while Madison Mcdonald finished 2-for-3 with three RBI as Abington (7-2) silenced South Shore League rival Rockland 5-0.

Bella Silva launched a pair of homers and drove in five runs, while Mylee Ramer tossed five innings of one-hit ball while striking out nine as Bishop Feehan cruised to a 10-2 win over Archbishop Williams in the Catholic Central League. … Ava Giardina’s two-run double in the sixth inning gave Arlington Catholic the lead for good in an 8-7 win over Bishop Fenwick. Olivia DiSessa went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs as St. Mary’s (Lynn) (4-4) topped Gloucester 11-7 in a nonleague contest. … Tessa Francis struck out 16 hitters in the circle, while going 2-for-4 at the plate with two RBI as Marblehead defeated Latin Academy 8-1.
