Alfred Mucciarone fired a complete game shutout, allowing just two hits while striking out 10 as Franklin rolled to an 8-0 victory over Hockomock League rival Foxboro. … Dawson Bryce belted his first home run in a well-rounded offensive day, helping Taunton (3-0) down Canton 11-0 in five innings.

In a nonleague contest, Maverick Bourdeau went 4-for-4 with four doubles, five RBI and three runs scored for Shawsheen (2-0) in a 14-0 win over Saugus. … Nic Bonica allowed just two hits and one unearned run over five innings, striking out seven as Westford Academy topped Dracut 6-1.

Tyler Kropis tossed a one-hit complete game, fanning 12 as Seekonk topped Bourne 2-0 in South Coast Conference action.

Ryan Coggswell batted 2-for-2 with four RBI, pacing Malden (5-0) to a 12-0 win over Chelsea in the championship of the Second Annual Golden Tornado First Pitch Classic. … Kyle Cummings allowed three runs with six strikeouts over six innings, pairing with five others at the plate with multiple hits as Revere downed Medford 15-5.

BOYS LACROSSE

In a South Shore League tilt, Lucas Leander turned in a 10-point outing (six goals, four assists), rallying Rockland to a 14-6 win over Middleboro.

Jack Calichman finished with a hat trick to go with a whopping six assists, carrying Lynnfield during a 10-6 victory over Cape Ann League foe Triton.

Luke Davis netted five goals and tacked on five assists, as Franklin erupted for a 19-4 win over Canton in the Hockomock League.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Ava Adams buried eight goals, eclipsing 100 for her career as Mansfield coasted to a 19-6 victory over Hockomock League foe Sharon. … Erin Cottam dialed up five goals and two assists, pairing with four goals and four assists from Kayla Magit to lead a well-rounded effort from Oliver Ames in a 19-6 win over Stoughton.

Tilly Crosby buried eight goals and added a pair of assists, pacing Cape Cod Academy during a 16-10 win over Cape and Islands League opponent Monomoy.

Danielle Cox finished with six goals and dished out an assist, as Norwell held on for a thrilling 12-11 win over Weymouth in a nonleague contest.

Senior shortstop Olivia Basso finished 3-for-4 with two doubles and a trio of RBI, as Medway (4-0) defeated Dedham, 7-5, in the Tri-Valley League.

Liv Boucher and Katie Fox each went deep for Central Catholic, powering a 16-2 win over Peabody in nonleague action.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Tyrell Lout racked up 28 assists, while Eric Nguyen added 28 digs to guide Lowell (4-0) during a 3-0 sweep of Merrimack Valley Conference rival Haverhill. … Dom Flores smashed 15 kills and Victor Lam had 41 assists to help Chelmsford outlast Lawrence 3-2.

Alec Smagula dished 28 assists and picked up 16 digs to lead Brookline past Cambridge 3-0 in nonleague action.
