Marcus Jordan, a former University of Central Florida basketball player and son of NBA legend Michael Jordan, was arrested in Maitland Tuesday for cocaine possession, according to court records.
He was additionally charged with resisting arrest but details were scant as records were not available Tuesday morning in the Orange County court system. A spokesperson for the Maitland Police Department did not immediately return a message seeking further information.
Jordan, 34, owns a store in downtown Orlando called The Trophy Room, a retail boutique that pays homage to his father while replicating the real-life trophy room of the Jordan family residence. He was recently a contestant on the second season of the Peacock show “The Traitors,” where he was eliminated after three episodes.
Before going into business, Jordan played as a guard for the UCF basketball program beginning in the 2009-2010 season. He played three seasons alongside his brother Jeff Jordan before leaving the team in August 2012, scoring a career total of 1,182 points.
In his final season, he averaged 13.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.
