MBTA transit police have located the two female suspects in an assault of a man and his daughter late into the night after Fourth of July celebrations last week.

Transit cops issued an alert on X, formerly Twitter, seeking two suspects who “attacked an adult male and his young daughter while on the train” on the Red Line between Downtown Crossing and Quincy Center on July 5 around 1 a.m. The alert encouraged anyone with information to call in tips.

The photos of the suspects show one dark-haired woman in a cropped American flag tank top and another with a short blond pixie cut.

MBTA transit police did not respond to request for comment on the incident or charges as of Monday evening.

On Monday morning, transit police announce “both subjects are identified, and appropriate charges will be sought.” The cops thanked all residents who supplied tips during the search.
