Finally, after a brutal stretch of heat, humidity and torrential rain, the most comfortable weather of the summer has arrived.
Massachusetts is in store for a comfortable and mostly dry weather week ahead, according to the National Weather Service.
The pleasant conditions on Sunday are expected to continue for the start of the workweek.
“It should be a lot nicer this week,” Kyle Pederson, meteorologist at the National Weather Service’s Boston office, told the Herald on Sunday.
High temps on Monday should be in the upper 70s to low 80s in the Boston-area, with comfortable dewpoints in the mid-50s.
Tuesday is expected to be even cooler in the 70s, with again comfortable dewpoints in the 50s.
Wednesday and Thursday should also be pleasant with temps in the 70s.
Friday looks like the best chance for some rain this week.
Pederson said, “I don’t believe we’re looking at anything severe right now for Friday, but we’re still a ways out at this point.”
