A man died after he was struck by a motor coach at Boston Logan International Airport on Monday afternoon, according to Massachusetts State Police who are investigating the fatal pedestrian crash.

The crash happened just before 5 p.m. on the Terminal B Lower Roadway at the airport.

A man was hit by a motor coach owned by Dartmouth Transportation Company of Concord, N.H. The man sustained severe injuries, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is being conducted by Troop F of the Massachusetts State Police, the State Police Detective Unit for Suffolk County, and the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, Crime Scene Services Section, and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Sections.

The scene as of 6:15 p.m. remained secured for the investigation.
