Joe Biden is sending U.S. troops to the wrong place.
They needed to go to New York, a sanctuary city, where hapless Mayor Eric Adams is begging President Biden, a fellow Democrat, for help in dealing with the influx of illegal immigrants flooding his city.
Biden’s response has been: “Don’t call me, I’ll call you.”
While Adams has blamed “the national government” for “turning its back on New York,” he has held President Joe Biden blameless.
Adams said that the once great city of New York “is being destroyed by the migrant crisis.”
He said that 59,000 migrants had arrived in New York since last spring, which is about the same number that cross into Texas in a slow week.
Perhaps the mayor should be reminded that it was Joe Biden who turned the illegal immigrant spigot on, and only he can turn it off, something he refuses to do.
And things are only going to get worse when Title 42 expires May 11. Title 42 allows the U.S.to deny illegal immigrant asylum seekers for health reasons.
Biden’s response to Adams is reminiscent of the classic New York Daily News 1975 headline in reaction to President Gerald Ford’s refusal to approve a financial bailout for the city.
It read: FORD TO CITY: DROP DEAD.
So, what does Adams do? He plays the race card, recklessly accusing Texas Gov. Gregg Abbott, a Republican, of sending illegal immigrants to five cities that are run by black mayors, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Denver and Washington, D.C.
Not that the 1,500 troops would do much to alleviate Adams’ problem. The troops in New York would be doing the same thing that they will be doing down at the border, and that is to help the overwhelmed Border Patrol.
Rather than use the troops to stem the flow of migrants invading the country, or deal with the Mexican cartels sending them over, or coping with the huge increase in sex trafficking of children, or stemming the flow of China- based fentanyl, the soldiers will be processing paper and changing diapers.
Joe Biden has willfully spread more misery around the country than did President Herbert Hoover during the Great Depression.
Were Joe Biden a leader of substance, he would do something that should have been done long ago.
And that is shut down the border and have those active-duty U.S, Army troops cross into narco-run Mexico and wipe out the Mexican cartels that, through drugs and smuggling, are contributing to the decline of the country.
If Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador cannot—or will not—deal with the cartels, then it is time the U.S. do it for him, whether he likes it or not.
President Donald Trump did not ask anyone’s permission when he ordered the 2020 drone strike that took the life of Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani outside the Baghdad Airport in 2020.
Soleimani was the man behind the Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) that took the lives of 600 U.S. soldiers and maimed 1,600 more who lost legs, arms or both.
The U.S. needed no permission from Pakistan in 2011 to fly in and ferret out and kill Osama bin Laden, the mastermind behind the 2001 World Trade Center attack, at his hideout in Abbottabad. Twenty-three U.S, Navy seals in two helicopters did the job in 40 minutes.
Some 3,000 Americans were killed, including 343, New York City fire fighters, when Osama bin Laden’s Muslim terrorists flew their hijacked planes into the World Trade Center. Thousands more are still suffering today from the aftermath.
Today some 70,000 Americans from the age of 18 to 45 are dying each year from Chinese precursor fentanyl that comes over the border from Mexico.
That is more Americans than Osama bin Laden and Gen. Qassem Soleimani could ever dream of killing.
The U.S. made them pay for killing Americans. It is time the U. S. make the Mexican cartels pay too.
It would take the U.S. military half a day to wipe them out.
