I am writing as I read that the Senate and House have been unable to agree on a budget.

This is truly concerning. That is their job! If they can’t agree, then they should definitely not be allowed to go on break in August. Responsible people do not go on vacation when they can’t pay their bills. The last thing that should be paid is their salaries and I bet they will get it done….

I for one do not want undocumented people to get any more perks for coming to Massachusetts. All this is doing is incentivizing more and a disproportionate amount of undocumented people to come to Massachusetts. I don’t blame them. I blame our government. Who wouldn’t come when we are giving away so much.

I am also against an online lottery. We have created a real issue for people in this state with dependency issues. Between legalizing cannabis, not arresting drug dealers and addicts at Mass and Cass, giving out needles, online gambling… etc.

No one even talks about the 2,000 plus overdose deaths in this state last year. We just keep enabling and enabling… When will it stop?

One picture is worth more than 1,000 words. Cartoonist’s take (Boston Herald, 7/26/23) is a picture perfect depiction of the failure of some cable news networks and the so called elite newspapers like NYT and Washington Post in covering the plots of the subject matter.

The Watergate scandal of the ’70s pales in comparison to the Biden Gate that is being investigated now.

It is amazing how the institutions like DOJ, FBI which are supposed to maintain law continue to go on at length to deceive the public.

Some elected public officials who swore to uphold the truth have no shame in willfully ignoring this issue.

Cable news networks have lost their credibility eons ago and it is no surprise to watch some of their pundits disgorge false narratives surrounding the subject matter every minute of the day.

Hope truth will prevail ultimately.

I understand a father should always support his son no matter what, but it gets to a time when enough is enough and I’m talking about the president’s son,  Robert Hunter Biden. What kind of son dates his brother’s widow and at the same time impregnates a stripper and now has a daughter that the family finally acknowledges. What kind of son agrees to get a cushy plea deal for two misdemeanor tax charges and is able to avoid punishment on a felony gun charge if he stayed out of trouble for two years. I guess enough is enough when you hear the word “Pardon”.

Just wrong – these are the two words to describe this story (“Hub suspends liquor license,” 7/26/23).
First of all, whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? I know we all saw the video but it still warrants a trial, not a rush to judgement.

Secondly, does the state think that the right move is to put 25 innocent people out of work, or did we decide they are guilty too?

In these difficult times we should be ashamed this has happened to those people but welcome to the new world where we decide laws, case-by-case.
