As an aging couch potato who grasps for words occasionally, I am aware of the frailties of the elderly. However, I do not agree that we should test those in the political ring for mental competence unless we administer the test to all who yearn for a political career, young and old alike. Problems: Who would construct the test and who would grade it? If American history is included, would any of the 535 members of Congress pass? Ageism anyone? Ableism? The debate stage is where competence shines most brightly and that is the sole test required.

There are so many things that I disagree with on both parties’ far left and far right ideologies that I can’t even write enough letters to the editor to cover them all.

Everything from our borders being overrun (I am not against legal immigration) to assault rifles (they are not what our forefathers had in mind when they wrote the Constitution) being legal…

I can only hope that a real Independent decides to run for president. Because honestly I can’t vote for either President Biden or Former President Trump.

Can someone at the Boston Health Commission please read Dr Fauci’s 2008 conclusions on the Spanish flu.  Dr. Fauci and his colleagues found more people died from (wearing masks)  bacterial pneumonia during the 1919 Spanish flu. The human body requires oxygen to function, not carbon dioxide, wearing masks produces carbon dioxide, not oxygen as my 5th grade Boson Public School taught me in the 1970s.

The human body and it immune system is an amazing machine, it requires a number of tools to function at 100% like bacteria flora, and oxygen. As a child growing up in South Boston during the 60’s and 70’s I was exposed to the septic tank called Carson Beach, lead paint, asbestos, and the smoke from the project incinerator.  In my 62 years on this earth, I can say I’ve never been sick because of my healthy  immune system. My teachers who taught me  reading, writing and arithmetic along with basic science on how the immune system is my primary function in fighting viruses not a mask.

Signature Bank had 94% of its deposits over the FDIC’s protected limit.  Silicon Valley Bank had 85%, or a mere $175B in uninsured deposits that were above the FDIC protected threshold.  Biden is promoting the big lie that “no losses will be borne by taxpayers”, but rather, “from the fees that banks pay into the Deposit Insurance Fund.”  Do you really believe that if banking costs in higher fees to the Deposit Insurance Fund won’t translate into increased banking fees to us, the consumer?  Down the road, we will all get hit with higher fees for this bailout of Silicon billionaires.  A big bank failure creates another Biden lie.
