I am interested that you so quickly describe the Biden-Harris record as being one of “worsts” (Editorial, July 25) when so many of us would describe it as one of “bests.” Rescuing the nation from the disarray of the pandemic years, ushering in the best recovery to the economy that any nation experienced, rebuilding manufacturing, lowering prescription drug costs, rebuilding NATO, and so much more. But most especially, being a champion for our climate.
There is no way that “Investing in America’s future” can be tied to weakening all our government agencies, instituting tariffs that will increase inflation, and ignoring the concerns about our environment that become more pressing every day.
Everything about the Trump plans speak to a past that isn’t real and isn’t viable. Everything about the Harris campaign is of this moment and the future to come.

Regarding “Secret Service director steps down after assassination attempt against ex-President Trump at rally,” (July 23).
Kimberly Cheatle’s departure, along with President Biden’s announcement that he will not seek reelection this November, are very positive developments for our nation as millions of Americans have completely lost faith in our government. However, we still have a long way to go as our Department of Justice has been illegally weaponized to target and persecute Donald Trump and other conservatives. Many more government officials should step down for the good of our country so that our nation can have a fresh start.
We need a serious purge of our corrupted government which is no longer “of the people, by the people and for the people” but is a mere puppet of overly wealthy globalist “elites.” I hope that our next president will be able to do this starting in January, 2025.

During the 2020 election, Kamala Harris couldn’t raise two nickels to fund her disastrous campaign. Now in 2024 the far left liberal media is attempting to make Harris the queen of democracy. Someone who couldn’t raise two nickels in 2019 now has the capacity to raise $100 million in two days, had lower approval ratings than Biden, but is now ahead of Trump in polls. Come on man. This same media predicted Hillary Clinton winning in a landslide over Trump. We all know how that prediction worked out. This will be another year where the fake news media will again be exposed as a fraud, and couldn’t predict a winner in a one man race.

Peter Lucas’ comparison of Johnson-Humphrey and Biden-Harris was a good history lesson. While Johnson was credited with pushing through the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, there is no praise due for Biden’s list of accomplishments. He passed a $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, a $1 trillion infrastructure bill and $53 billion CHIPS Act. Every living person in America, including children, will be paying for Biden’s accomplishments. He gets no praise from me.
