As a lead-up to the first presidential debate, President Biden’s acolytes in the mainstream media are reporting that ample observations of his numerous public stumbling and bumbling episodes are not what our eyes and ears have witnessed; rather, they are the product of manipulation by right-wing news outlets. Not only are the accusations demonstrably wrong, they add to the ongoing failures of certain media to cover national and international events in a fair and honest manner.
In Biden’s case, we have a media- protected public figure who is a life-long fabulist, an inveterate prevaricator and a man who, following a federal investigation into his mishandling of classified documents, was found to have “diminished capacities,” including memory loss. He did not stand trial for his offenses. Among his numerous failings as president, perhaps the most painful and destructive is his deliberate opening of our borders to an invasion by millions of illegal immigrants among whose numbers are murderers, rapists and thieves who have victimized American citizens. One question that Biden should be asked about our borders: What American who loves his country would deliberately pursue a program such as the one you promulgated upon taking office?

It’s interesting that former President Trump seems more interested in his own legacy than actually winning the election for president. The best potential VP is not even on his short list, that being Nikki Haley. Trump says he wants presidential qualities for this position. Nikki Haley’s qualities are: administrative as a former governor, international as former ambassador to the United Nations, and the second biggest vote getter in the Republican Party Primary. She would help more than a man with Trump’s women issues, which will be important in the Vice Presidential debate. She also matches Kamala Harris as a woman of color.

Democrats are pushing to phase out natural gas infrastructure replacement plans by 2030. I don’t think the voters in Massachusetts are on board with this idea. Senate President Karen Spilka, an Ashland Democrat, wants to save us from paying billions of dollars for fossil fuel investments that will serve no purpose. The purpose of dependable and efficient natural gas to heat our homes and cook our food serves an important purpose. State House politicians have not gotten a green light to sabotage an important source of energy.

Only 2 arrests in a crowd of 1 million people? Boston showed the rest of the country how to do it. Fans should take a bow. Doing the right thing is often overlooked. It shouldn’t be.
