The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum played host to roughly 100 people becoming new citizens of the United States.

U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts Judge Angel Kelly oversaw the Naturalization Oath Ceremony that took place earlier this week at the JFK Library located near the UMass Boston campus in Dorchester’s Columbia Point.

The new citizens were welcomed with a speech by Vlad Barbalat, who serves as the chief investment officer for Liberty Mutual and is himself an immigrant, having come to the U.S. from the former Soviet republic of Moldova in 1990.
