Illegal immigrants on the run for murder and rape of a child have been arrested in the Bay State and face immediate deportation back to their home countries to serve time, ICE officials report.

This comes as a Chinese national in the U.S. illegally is also under arrest and is being kicked out of the country for federal securities fraud charges.

All three are the latest targeted and swept up by the Boston-based Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) — the agents working for Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Miguel Angel Genao is wanted for murder and was arrested by Springfield police for unlicensed operation of a vehicle. A background check revealed he’s wanted in the Dominican Republic for homicide, ICE says.

Elvin Omar Aguilar-Ramos was recently indicted in Barnstable County Superior Court on five counts of aggravated of Rape of a Child, two counts of Indecent assault and Battery on a child and paying a child under 18 for sex, authorities said.

Aguilar-Ramos is listed as possibly also living in Nantucket.

In all three cases, the illegal immigrants either cross the southern border into the U.S. or “failed to comply with the terms of admission.”

ERO Boston Field Office Director Todd Lyons — featured in a recent Herald report on a ride-along — said “ERO Boston targets individuals who threaten to harm our communities … and remove them expeditiously.”

In fiscal year 2022, ERO arrested 46,396 noncitizens with criminal histories. This group had 198,498 associated charges and convictions, including 21,531 assault offenses; 8,164 sex and sexual assault offenses; 5,554 weapons offenses; 1,501 homicide-related offenses; and 1,114 kidnapping offenses.
