NextImg:Grace Curley: Biden’s 2024 campaign already reflecting his disastrous first term

Team Biden is officially on the campaign trail, and the re-election efforts are going about as well as everything else the octogenarian gets his hands on.

This week, President Biden made waves when he told a group of reporters that he would be having a “major press conference” later that Friday.

Considering the commander in chief is typically showing reporters the back of his head, this was big news.

Alas, it turns out that the president misspoke.

When Biden said he would be holding a “major press conference,” what he actually meant was he would be sitting down for a one-on-one interview with MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle later that night.

This was a huge bummer for all of the crack scribes in the media who were readying their pertinent questions about ice cream and the First Dog. There’s always tomorrow!

Keep in mind that the Biden administration is an example of trickle-down incompetence. So it should come as a surprise to no one that the rest of the best and brightest are also struggling.

On Thursday the White House announced that Vice President Kamala Harris would be taking on a new role — “AI Czar.”

What does her latest job entail?

According to the White House, Harris will meet with CEOs from Alphabet, Anthropic, Microsoft, and OpenAI to “emphasize the importance of driving responsible, trustworthy, and ethical innovation with safeguards that mitigate risks and potential harms to individuals and our society.”

Let’s hope the Veep has more success protecting us from the dangers of artificial intelligence than she has had at getting to the “root causes of migration.”

By the way, how many czarships does this make for Kamala?

Between the border, artificial intelligence, abortion and voting rights — Harris’ LinkedIn resume is starting to rival Hunter Biden’s.

But with each new position, Harris only wows the country with her ability to produce word salads and awkward viral moments.

Adding more meaningless titles to her plate might make the VP feel good, but it isn’t doing anything to help with her cratering approval ratings.

Meanwhile, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre delivered multiple whoppers this week including claiming that, “when it comes to illegal migration, you have seen it come down by more than 90% …”

Even the fact-checkers in the mainstream media had to come back from their hiatuses for that doozie.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken also found himself in hot water this week.

In December of 2020 during Senate testimony, Blinken denied exchanging emails with Hunter Biden. The only issue with Blinken’s claim is that it can be directly refuted by all of the emails he exchanged with Hunter Biden.

Luckily for Blinken, he is a Democrat. Otherwise, the whole lying under oath thing might pose a problem for his political career.

Needless to say, the road to 2024 is going to be bumpy for the best and the brightest in the White House.

All of this begs the question… Are ambitious Democrats like Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker and Gavin Newsom really going to let this ragtag crew of lightweights head into 2024 unchallenged?

Sure, Joe managed to beat Orange Man in 2020. But Biden’s victory had more to do with him not being Donald Trump than anything else. Plus, Joe has a lot more baggage going into this next election.

According to a recent Rasmussen poll, only 39% of likely U.S. voters think the country is heading in the right direction. Between inflation, the war in Ukraine, train derailments, record-high illegal crossings at the border and the current culture wars pervading the country, it is no wonder people aren’t feeling very optimistic.

In addition to Biden’s first-term disasters, he is also dealing with several scandals involving his family’s alleged influence-peddling operation.

If all that weren’t enough, his cognitive decline has become so apparent that even die-hard liberals are having a hard time ignoring it.

I am still not convinced that the power-hungry egomaniacs on the left are going to sit back and let RFK Jr. and Marianne Williamson have all the fun.

Speaking of Joe’s “unserious” primary challengers, some early polls have the Kennedy outcast pulling as much as 19% support.

If that doesn’t ignite a fire under a few of the “rising stars” in the Democrat party, then I don’t know what will.
