ASHLEY DEHNEY

The junior — an honor roll student — earned her second straight All-State title, winning all four of her matches in the 147-pound category. Dehney earned World Team Trial All-American honors.
JACLYN DEHNEY
CENTRAL CATHOLIC
The All-Merrimack Valley Conference performer competed in the boys tournament and took a fourth in the Div. 1 North sectionals and fifth at the Div. 1 States, ending her career with 101 wins. On the national women’s scene, Dehney was the 2021 Pan Am Gold Medalist and is a two-time Super 32 champion. The honor roll student trains at Doughboy Wrestling.
SYDNEY DIAUTO
SILVER LAKE
The 106-pound senior captured the All-State title on her way to a 24-14 record against mixed competition (10-2 against girls). Diauto took the Phillips Academy Girls Tournament, placed second at the Kevin Curtis Scituate Opener Tourney, sixth at the Marshfield Holidays. Diauto was a runner-up at the Girls All-States last year and ended her career with an overall mark of 50-33 (21-7 against girls). An excellent student with a 4.7 GPA, Diauto is undecided about her college destination.

MIDDLEBORO
The senior captain advanced to the finals of the All-State tournament, losing a close match to Central Catholic’s Ashley Dehney in the 147-pound finals. Goldman went on to the Nationals in Virginia Beach, where she won five matches and finished fifth, earning All-American recognition in the process.
LINDSAY LAWS
SILVER LAKE
The junior took gold in the 160-pound weight at the All-States for the second consecutive season as well as the title at the Senators All-Girls tournament. Laws posted an overall record of 25-23 (16-2 against girls). The honor roll student played on the Silver Lake soccer team that captured the Div. 2 state title in 2022.
SARA MCLAUGHLIN
SCITUATE
The freshman is already a two-time All-State champion, rolling to the title at 111 pounds. A three-time All-American, McLaughlin is nationally ranked by USA Wrestling. McLaughlin earned her most recent All-American honors in March as she took a third at the NHSCA Nationals in Virginia Beach. She won the Div. 3 South boys sectional title at 113 pounds. The honors student wrestles at Riptide Wrestling Club and will be on the USA National Team this summer.
FREYA MUNSHI
NEWTON SOUTH
The Dual County League Female Wrestler of the Year won the 118-pound title at the All-States. The junior was a finalist at the Marlboro Early Bird and Watertown Invitationals. A two-time All-State champion, Munshi carried a 4.5 weighted GPA and also is the vocalist for the honors jazz ensemble at school. Munshi wrestles year-round for the MetroWest Wrestling Club.
ASHER POLANCO
METHUEN
After finishing second as a freshman, the sophomore returned to the All-States and captured the 175-pound title, avenging a loss to Agawam’s Athena Gonzalez, who pinned her in the finals in 2022. Polanco throws the javelin and shot put for the school’s track and field team.
NORA QUITT
ASHLAND
Quitt became the first female wrestling champion in school history, winning the 136-pound All-State title. On the season, Quitt was undefeated against girls (11-0) and finished with a 19-15 record, earning the Tri-Valley League Girls MVP in the process. Quitt captured the Mahar Senators Girls title and placed at the mixed-gender Milford Tournament.
