NETHICA AUGUSTE
BRIDGEWATER-RAYNHAM
The senior broke the Bridgewater-Raynham school record with a first-place finish in Div. 2 with a leap of 37-11 1/2. The UMass-Lowell-bound talent went on to better that mark with a 38-3 1/4 effort to capture the gold at the Meet of Champions. Auguste then placed 10th at the New England Championships, stretching out a 35-7 3/4 jump.

KYLEE BERNARD
CAMBRIDGE
Bernard captured the 200/400 at the Div. 1 Championships before defending her title at the Meet of Champions in the 400. Bernard raced to season bests of 55.38 in the 400 and 24.79 in the 200. Owner of a 55.09 personal best in the 400, Bernard is a five-time school record-holder. The National Honor Society member will attend Boston College.

SARAH CLAFLIN
PEMBROKE
The Div. 4 champion in the 100 captured her specialty at the Meet of Champions in a personal best of 12.01. She bolted to the 100 title at the Weston Twilight Invitational. Claflin had a big season in the 200 as well, with wins in Div. 4 and at the Patriot League Championships, where she clocked 24.81.

SARAH DUMAS
FRANKLIN
The best all-around female track star in Massachusetts, the junior captured the pentathlon/100 hurdles double at the Meet of Champions after winning both events in the Div. 1 Championships. Dumas was second in the pentathlon at the New Balance Nationals and was ranked No. 4 in the country in the event. She was the Hockomock League MVP and owns six school records. The honor roll student wants to study biological sciences in college.

AMELIA EVERETT
NEWTON SOUTH
The Stanford University-bound talent is arguably the best female distance runner to come out of Newton South. Everett swept the 800 and mile at both the Div. 1 and Meet of Champions competitions. She was second in the 800 at the Nike Nationals in 2:08 and the Dual County League Runner of the Year and has a personal best of 2:06.19.

EMERSON GOULD
ACTON-BOXBORO
The sophomore was a model of consistency through the season. Owner of a 10-6 best, Gould was second in the Dual County League Championships. She took fifth in Div. 1 before clinching the silver medal at the Meet of Champions. Gould was a DCL All-Star and took 10th at New Englands. The honor roll student is also a gymnast.

GRACE HANAFIN
BURLINGTON
Hanafin had a personal best of 19-3 and was victorious in both the Div. 4 and Meet of Champions competitions. Hanafin also picked up a silver medal in the 100 and 200 in Div. 4. She will attend UMass-Amherst in the fall.

ELIZABETH HOPKINS
FRANKLIN
Hopkins thoroughly dominated the javelin, copping wins in both Div. 1 and the Meet of Champions. She was the Hockomock League champion and an all-star. Hopkins picked up Field Athlete of the Meet accolades at the MSTCA Twilight Invitational. A member of the National Math Honor Society, Hopkins has a GPA of 4.6 and enjoys painting and playing the cello.

CAMILLE JORDAN
BROOKLINE
Jordan raced to a personal best of 4:52.63 this spring in the mile. The eight-time varsity letter recipient owns nine school records. Jordan won the Bay State Conference title in 4:57.64 and was second to Newton South’s Amelia Everett in the mile in Div. 1 with a 4:58.48 and a personal best of 2:12.36 in the 800. Jordan earned the Harvard Book Award and was a member of the National Honor Society. She will attend the University of Pennsylvania.

GIULIANA LIGOR
NORTH READING
Only a sophomore, Ligor pushed hard to capture the Div. 5 championship and won the 400. At the Meet of Champions she won the 400 hurdles and took third in the 400. North Reading’s MVP went undefeated in the 400 hurdles during the regular season. She is an honors and high honors student and enjoys working out and running.

ANNA MCELHINNEY
BILLERICA
The senior captured the 2-mile at the Meet of Champions after racing to victory in the Div. 3 mile. She also took fifth in the mile at the Meet of Champions. McElhinney had a personal best of 10:51.23 in the 2-mile and 5:01.94 in the mile. She was a solid second in the mile at the Weston Twilight Invitational with a 5:07.14 and was also the Merrimack Conference champion in the 2-mile. A honor roll student and member of the Spanish Honor Society, she will attend UMass-Amherst.

ALYSSA PEASLEY
NATICK
Natick’s school record-holder in the pole vault with a height of 12-0 tied for second with Acton-Boxboro’s Emerson Gould at the Meet of Champions. The Bay State Conference All-Star qualified for New Balance Nationals Rising Stars in the high jump and pole vault. She has Natick’s indoor records in pole vault record at 11-9 and the high jump at 5-4. Peasley was named Natick Class of 2023 Outstanding Female Athlete Award. A member of the National Honor Society, she will attend Holy Cross.

SKYE PETRIE-CAMERON
NEWTON NORTH
The junior had a season best toss of 43-1-3/4 and successfully defended her Meet of Champions title. She was second in Div. 1 and third at New Englands with a toss of 41-5. Petrie-Cameron also defended her title in the Bay State Conference. She dominated the competition at the Weston Twilight Invitational with a heave of 40-10 and had a solid effort at the New Balance Nationals at 40-6 1/4, good for 15th overall.

JAYANI SANTOS
TEWKSBURY
Santos defeated a loaded field to win gold in the 200 at the Meet of Champions with a personal-best time of 24.62 after placing third in the Div. 4 Championships in 25.33. Santos was also victorious at the Weston Twilight Invitational and Merrimack Valley Conference Championships. The UMass-Lowell-bound Santos copped the 400 gold medal in Div. 4 with a time of 57.85.

CATHERINE SARGENT
DEDHAM
Sargent won the discus at the Meet of Champions after winning both the Div. 5 shot put and discus. The senior was also third in the shot put at the Meet of Champions, captured the New England title in the shot and was third in the discus. Sargent was ninth in the shot put at the New Balance Nationals. The National Honor Society member will attend Northeastern.

LINDSEY WILSON
PEABODY
This senior skied over 5-6 for a new personal best. Wilson also triple-jumped 36-8 and clocked 14.79 in the 100 hurdles. Wilson was the class of the field in the high jump at the Meet of Champions with her win and was second at Div. 2 and third at the Andover Booster Invitational. Wilson was also third at the Meet of Champions in the 100 hurdles after taking the gold medal in Div. 2. She will study biology at Adelphi University.

PEMBROKE
4×100 RELAY
The lineup of Allyson Johnson, Kaitlyn Gibbons, Sarah Claflin and Catrena Ghattas turned away a tough field to capture the event at the Meet of Champions after setting a meet record at the Div. 4 Championships. Johnson ran the opening leg and was the Small Schools Freshman-Sophomore champion in the 100 and Gibbons qualified for the Meet of Champions in both the 100 and 200. She will attend Stonehill College. Ghattas was the Div. 4 pentathlon champion with 2951 points. She was third in the high jump at the Coaches Invitational with a leap of 5-0.

NEEDHAM
4×400 RELAY
Alex Bold, Carolina Sanz Arribas, Audrey Adam and Marisa Maio combined to lead the Rockets to wins in Div. 1 and the Meet of Champions. Bold had a relay split of 57.1 and was the Div. 1 champion in the 400 hurdles. Adam had a strong season in the 800 with a personal best of 2:19.4 and is an honor roll student who enjoys swimming and traveling. Sanz Arribas has personal bests of 12.7 in the 100 and 26.17 over 200 meters. She is also a member of the National Honor Society. Maio dipped under 60-seconds with a 400 split of 59.6 and also long jumped 18-5. She plans to attend Sacred Heart University and study nursing.

WELLESLEY
4×800 RELAY
There was plenty of talent on the Wellesley squad as Delaney Dyer, Kayla Bolin, and Emma and Charlotte Tuxbury captured the Div. 2 and Meet of Champions titles. Dyer has clocked 60.3 in the 400 and 5:17.8 in the mile and is a three-time Bay State Conference All-Star. Bolin is a freshman who ran 60.9 in the 400 and was also a BSC All-Star who ran indoor track and plays field hockey. Emma Tuxbury was the BSC champion in the 2-mile as a freshman and has clocked 5:06 in the mile and 2:16 for the 800. She is an honor roll student who enjoys rock climbing and surfing. Charlotte Tuxbury has an impressive 4:55 personal best in the mile and has run 2:15 in the 800. She is also an honor roll student who enjoys hiking and the beach.
