


FRIDAY’S HIGHLIGHTS
BASEBALL
Jack Collins locked in from the mound to toss a no-hitter, bolstering Medfield in a 4-0 win over Dover-Sherborn in Tri-Valley League action.
In a Dual County League game, Drew Anderson allowed one hit and fanned nine as Waltham (6-2) blanked Concord-Carlisle, 8-0.
Almani Gerardo used a home run and a double to drive in five runs, pairing with Darnell Leon (3-for-5, two RBI) and Sam Ohannesian (3-for-4) to pace Lynn Classical (9-1) to a 9-3 Greater Boston League win over Medford.
In a Hockomock League game, Patrick Finnerty allowed a pair of hits, struck out five in 6 ⅔ innings of relief, and recorded a triple to lift Oliver Ames to a 9-1 win over Sharon.
John Sellon led from the plate and the mound, allowing three runs over five innings and recording four hits to drive in three for Abington in a 12-5 South Shore League win over Cohasset.
Dan Surette’s two-run single added to a combined four-hitter from Anthony Carver and Connor Grieve as Braintree rolled past Hingham 9-1 in a nonleague tilt.
With a RBI single in the seventh, Jack Murray provided the difference for Nobles (5-5) in a 3-2 win over Pingree.
BOYS LACROSSE
Tyler Boehner and Lucas Leander registered a combined 24 points (14 goals, 10 assists) for Rockland to dismantle Cardinal Spellman, 20-7, in nonleague play. … Connor Stack’s three goals and two assists paved the way for Sandwich (7-1) to best Plymouth South 11-3.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Zoe Kalaw netted five goals and Bereket Ruemenapp picked up a hat trick for Medford as it topped Greater Boston League foe Malden, 12-3.
In Atlantic Coast action, Quinn Anderson and Ryann Cobban both finished with a hat trick to lead Sandwich (8-1) past Dennis-Yarmouth, 14-1.
Madigan Kelly and Tori Flaherty combined for 13 goals to boost Bourne (5-4) to a 15-9 victory over Upper Cape Tech, in a nonleague contest.
Evelyn Bernard (six goals, assist) and sophomore Maisie Leland (four goals, two assists) each showed out for Hamilton-Wenham (4-4) in a 17-9 comeback win over Georgetown in Cape Ann League play.
In Middlesex League action, Charlize Collins finished with nine goals to boost Burlington (4-3) to a 17-6 win over Watertown.
Schuyler Lloyd (six goals) posted 10 points and Waters Lloyd added five goals with two assists for Pingree in a 21-8 win over Winsor.
SOFTBALL
In a South Shore showdown, Elsie Testa scattered four hits and struck out 12 as Abington (5-3) defeated Cohasset, 12-1. … Maggie Schlossberg tossed a no-hit shutout while fanning 12, powering East Bridgewater in a 17-0 win over Mashpee through five innings.
Katie Hurley batted 2-for-3 and made a few big catches in the outfield, backing Shea Hennessy’s two-hitter from the circle for Reading (8-3) in a 6-2 Middlesex League win over Watertown. … Eva Boudreau smashed a two-run homer to finish with three RBI to play a large role for Wilmington as it bested Woburn, 5-3 win.
Pitcher Johnna Maloney helped her own cause with two RBI, adding to two RBI from Lily Novak (3-for-4) and five combined runs from Amber Welch and Julia Matz as Framingham (7-4) beat Holliston 7-2 in nonleague action.
As part of a wild seventh inning that saw Somerset Berkley take the lead in the top half, Lucy LaTour’s two-run homer walked off a 6-5 South Coast Conference win for Dighton-Rehoboth.
In a Greater Boston League game, MeKayla Poisson finished with two runs, a double, three stolen bases, and struck out ten as Lynn Classical (6-2) edged Medford, 8-7.
Hayleigh Silva, Ava Neno and Zoe Texeira each batted 2-for-4, helping Greater New Bedford (6-5) top Apponequet 3-1 in the South Coast Conference.
Nia Phillips mostly controlled the game from the circle, allowing just three hits while striking out 15 for Milton Academy (6-3) in a 5-2 win over Lawrence Academy.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Ayden Ruom and Cody Fitzpatrick both dialed up 10 kills off of Tyrell Lout’s 33 assists for Lowell (9-0), remaining red-hot en route to a 3-0 Merrimack Valley Conference win against Methuen.
Nick Heitman’s 18 kills fueled Acton-Boxboro (8-0) in a 3-1 Dual County League triumph against Wayland.
Barrett Cross had 17 assists and 25 service points for Essex Tech (4-3) in a 3-0 Commonwealth Athletic Conference win over Innovation. … Anthony Rubim accrued 12 kills and Raidel Perez scooped 26 digs for Greater Lawrence (3-6) to pace a 3-1 win against KIPP Academy.
In nonleague play, Jonathan Narsjo finished off 17 kills and Son Nguyen had 31 assists as O’Bryant (10-1) swept Revere 3-0.
