BASEBALL
Drew Anderson fired a complete game shutout, while Will Curley added a trio of hits as Waltham blanked Lincoln-Sudbury in Dual County League play, 4-0.
Jordan Paradis tossed a complete-game, finished with 8 strikeouts and a pair of hits at the plate to lead North Attleboro to a 2-0 win over Walpole, in nonleague action. … Gabe Knudsen struck out 12 while Mehki Bryan finished with a double, triple, 3 RBI, and a pair of runs scored as Hanover defeated Falmouth, 7-3. … Bryan Cahill (3-for-5) added to a big day at the plate with a walkoff home run in the eighth inning, powering Archbishop Williams (4-3) to a 7-6 win over Stoughton. … Will Fosberg cranked a solo home run, Jason O’Keefe batted 3-for-4 and Drew George (2-for-3) drove in a run as Natick topped Norwood, 4-3. … Josh Gauvain only needed 84 pitches to get through a complete game on the mound as Xaverian (4-4) rolled past Norwood, 7-1.
Brady Warren hit a two-run double to ultimately mark the difference for Lynn Classical (6-1) in a 5-3 Greater Boston League win over Lynn English.
Matt Fichera backed Ryan Mulvey’s complete game over eight innings, knocking in the walkoff run in extras as Reading edged Middlesex League foe Arlington, 2-1.
Lucas Tremblay smashed a home run and Nate Levesque tossed a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts over six innings for Apponequet (4-3) in an 10-0 South Coast Conference win over Dighton-Rehoboth. … Declan Lush allowed just four hits over seven innings, pairing with Jaden Arruda (2-for-2, two stolen bases) to lead Seekonk past Greater New Bedford, 2-1.
In Commonwealth Athletic Conference play, Mavrick Bourdeau hit two doubles, scored and drove in a run to pace the Shawsheen (6-0) offense in a 3-1 win over Lowell Catholic.
In the ninth annual Christie Serino Baseball Classic, Jason DaSilva and Jared Pacitta combined to fire a three-hit shutout, as East Boston (4-3) captured the title for the second straight season with a 1-0 win over Greater Lawrence.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Maddy Allen carried things offensively with a four-goal performance, as Whitman-Hanson (4-1) captured the Staycation Cup championship with a 10-7 victory over Patriot League rival Marshfield.
Ryann Cobban led the way with a hat trick, while Sophia Visceglio added a pair of goals to go with two assists as Sandwich (5-1) defeated Pembroke in the consolation round of the Patriot Cup, 18-4.
Sydney Ecker scored the game-winner with 23 seconds left in overtime for Duxbury, capping off a 12-11 nonleague win over Weymouth.
SOFTBALL
In a nonleague game, Amber Goudreau allowed one hit and struck out 13 to lead Masconomet (5-4) to a 12-0 victory over Swampscott. … McKenzie Foley recorded a pair of hits and two runs scored to lead Hanover (4-0) past East Bridgewater, 4-2.
Lauren Bernaiche went the distance, allowing three earned runs on five hits while tallying 11 strikeouts, leading Apponequet (4-3) to a 17-3 win over Dighton-Rehoboth in the South Coast Conference. … The Case offense stayed hot in an 18-3 win over Fairhaven, anchored by four hits from Lexi Yost.
Sophomore Tiana MacDonald went 3-for-4 with a homer, while senior Alli Traynor (two hits) launched a home run of her own to pace South Shore Voke during a 4-2 win over Mayflower Athletic Conference foe Avon.
In Middlesex League action, Michaela Edwards smashed a three run home run and Natalia Fotopoulos struck out eight to lift Arlington past Reading, 4-3. … Cece Imbimbo struck out an impressive 17 while Madison King finished with three RBI to boost Burlington (8-0) to a 6-2 win over Wakefield.
Bella Monsanto belted one of her three hits for a two-run home run, combining with Kiele Coleman’s three-run dinger and Ariana Baez’s three hits to pace Methuen (5-0) in an 11-2 win over Dracut in Merrimack Valley Conference play.
Hailey Schmitt knocked in Tessa Andriano with a walkoff hit, boosting Marblehead to a 9-8 Northeastern Conference win over Beverly in the eighth inning after Ruby Calienes led a triple play to end the seventh.
Keely Hannon finished her afternoon with 13 strikeouts on the mound, helping to power North Reading during a 3-0 shutout of Cape Ann League foe Triton.
In the Independent School League, sophomore Nia Phillips fired a complete game, allowing just two runs on two hits while striking out 13 as Milton Academy (3-2) rolled to an 18-6 win over Southfield in five innings.
VOLLEYBALL
Henry Bonney dialed up 12 kills for Cambridge in a 3-0 nonleague win over Holyoke, while Freddy Montalvo added five kills and Tashi Mulug-Labrang had 14 digs. … Hunter Parent dished out 21 assists and three different players racked up eight kills, helping Barnstable to a 3-0 win over Dighton-Rehoboth.
