Charmaine Norris said there’s no “rulebook” on how to grieve the loss of a child.
Her son, Keith Norris, would have turned 24 years old today. He died this past July in a cabin in Maine from a carbon monoxide leak. Three other friends also died in the accident that night.
“I’m still grieving. Nobody gave me a rulebook and I never thought this would happen to one of mine,” said Norris, who lives in Brockton.
She dropped off a poem to honor Keith’s birthday today: “Keith, you are so missed; with a great big smile, and big ’ol kiss; mom will never let you go; and that’s for sure, everyone knows.”
Keith’s uncle Richard ?Norris of Boston added: “He was a good kid. He did everything right.”
