


An explosion in Kingston sent a person to the hospital with serious injuries on Sunday after the resident was allegedly “manufacturing fireworks in the basement,” according to officials.
The explosion happened at a home on Nobadeer Circle in the Plymouth County town.
“The Kingston Fire Department, along with the Kingston Massachusetts Police Department, Massachusetts State Fire Marshal’s Office and Mass State Police Bomb squad, is operating at a residence on Nobadeer Circle after an explosion sent a resident to a Boston hospital with serious injuries,” Kingston Fire & Emergency Management wrote on social media.
“It is believed the occupant was manufacturing fireworks in the basement,” Kingston Fire & Emergency Management added.
Residents were told to avoid the area while the investigation was underway.
