Christmas came early for a little East Boston girl — and the role of Santa Claus was played by the members of the local Boston Police station.
“As part of their commitment to building positive relationships with the community, Officers presented a brand-new bicycle to the young girl, bringing a big smile to her face,” a BPD spokesperson wrote in a statement. “Despite her excitement, she took a moment to connect with the officers and share a few laughs before joyfully riding her new bike around the station.”
The team at East Boston’s District A-7, led by Captain Dean Bickerton, presented the girl with a new bicycle. A BPD spokesman told the Herald that one of the station officers knew the girl and knew she wanted a new bike.
The photos of the smiling girl with the bike complete with handle tassels show the present was greatly appreciated.
