Dolly Parton has announced a nationwide search for the actress who will play the country queen in the upcoming Broadway musical based on her life.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, 78, put out the casting call for “Dolly: An Original Musical” on Thursday across social media.

“As you may have heard, my life story is coming to Broadway in a brand new show. … And now, I’m announcing the search for Dolly,” the “Jolene” crooner said in a video.

The casting is open to newcomers and stage veterans alike, as Parton hopes to find whoever “can capture the spirit” of her journey.

“I want to give you the chance to help me bring my story to Broadway, and maybe even play me,” she said. “This might be your big moment to take center stage and step into the spotlight.”

Parton instructed hopefuls to submit their auditions via DollyMusical.com and tag the videos online with #SearchForDolly. A “selected few” will then be called to audition in person for the show’s casting director.

Parton first announced the musical when she appeared at CMA Fest in early June, back when the project was called “Hello, I’m Dolly,” in a nod to her 1967 debut studio album.

At the time, the Grammy winner said that the show was slated for 2026 and promised it would trigger a gamut of emotions.

“You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll clap, you’ll stomp, it is truly a Grand Ol’ Opera,” said Parton. “Pun and fun intended. Don’t miss it!”
