FOXBORO — Patriots wide receiver DeVante Parker was among three players missing at Wednesday’s practice.
Parker was spotted walking in the locker room late Tuesday afternoon and did not exhibit any sign of injury. He was also present for the start of Tuesday’s practice. Offensive tackle Riley Reiff (right leg) and wide receiver Tyquan Thornton were the other absentees from the team’s 53-man roster.
Reiff and Thornton are considered prime candidates to land on injured reserve this week with the potential to return after a minimum of four games.
Several players who were cut ahead of Tuesday’s 53-man roster deadline returned to practice Wednesday. Most of them, including quarterbacks Bailey Zappe and Malik Cunningham, have already signed to the practice squad, per Herald sources.
Running backs Ty Montgomery and Kevin Harris, wide receiver Thyrick Pitts, tight end Matt Sokol, offensive linemen Kody Russey and Andrew Stueber, safety Joshuah Bledsoe and linebacker Calvin Munson and punter Corliss Waitman were also present. Defensive lineman Jeremiah Pharms Jr. was absent, despite re-signing to the practice squad.
The Patriots will announce their latest transactions after 4 p.m. Wednesday.
