Police are investigating after a worker fell to their death at a construction site in downtown Boston.

Officers responded to the area of 219 Tremont St., which is the Emerson Cutler Majestic Theatre, at approximately 12:45 p.m. Friday for “a report of a worker who fell at a construction site,” Boston Police said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and has not been identified, Officer Michael Torigian told the Herald.

Homicide detectives and representatives from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, more commonly known as OSHA, responded to the scene, which was still active as of 2:15 p.m., Torigian said.

How the worker fell is still under investigation, Torigian said.
