NextImg:Chris Perkins: Top 10 players still available for Dolphins on Day 3 of NFL draft

The Dolphins have two draft picks on Saturday’s final day of the 2023 NFL draft — No. 197 of the sixth round and No. 238 of the seventh round.

The Dolphins, who have four selections in this draft, didn’t have a first-round selection; their first two selections of the draft were in the second and third rounds.

Here are some of the best players still available in the draft:

Dawand Jones, OT, Ohio State

It’s a surprise Jones (6 foot 8, 374 pounds), a right tackle, is still available. The Dolphins would likely have to trade up to acquire Jones, and while that’s not likely, it’s possible.

Kobie Turner, DT, Wake Forest

Turner (6-2, 288) is a strong player with a high motor. He’d provide depth on the defensive line and possibly be a rotational player.

Dalton Wagner, OT, Arkansas

Wagner (6-8, 320) is a right tackle with good size and length. He’d be a backup as a rookie and it’s not known if he can play left tackle.

John Ojukwu, OT, Boise State

Ojukwu (6-6, 309) has long arms and good strength. He might project as a guard, which gives him versatility.

Will Mallory, TE, University of Miami

Mallory (6-4, 239) can run routes, catch the ball and block. He fits what the Dolphins need.

Blake Whiteheart, TE, Wake Forest

Whiteheart (6-4, 247) has in-line and receiving skills but he’s a better blocker. He’d add depth to the Dolphins’ tight end room.

Chandler Zavala, G-C, North Carolina State

Zavala (6-3, 322) is strong, but not athletic and can play left or right guard.

Blake Freeland, OT, BYU

Freeland (6-8, 302) probably won’t last until the sixth round, meaning the Dolphins would likely have to trade up to get him. But he can play either side.

Antonio Johnson, S, Texas A&M

Johnson (6-2, 198) is among the most versatile defensive backs around with the ability to play slot and boundary cornerback as well as safety. He almost certainly won’t be around until the sixth round so the Dolphins would have to trade up to acquire him.

Elijah Higgins, WR, Stanford

Higgins (6-3, 235) is a big target who could almost double as a tight end. He can go up and get the ball and runs good routes.
