NextImg:Celtics to face Heat again in Eastern Conference Finals. Here’s the schedule

For the third time in the last four years, the Celtics will meet the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals.

This matchup, however, was certainly not expected to come in this round of the playoffs. When the regular season ended, it seemed likely that they would face off in the first round as the Nos. 2 and 7 seeds. But the Heat lost their first play-in game to the Hawks, and they became the No. 8 seed. Then, led by Jimmy Butler, Miami upset the top-seeded Bucks in the first round and before knocking off the fifth-seeded Knicks in the second round.

Game 1 is Wednesday at TD Garden, with the winner of the series advancing to face either the Nuggets or Lakers in the NBA Finals.

Here’s the full series schedule. All games will be broadcasted on TNT.

Game 1: Heat at Celtics – Wednesday, May 17, 8:30 p.m.
Game 2: Heat at Celtics – Friday, May 19, 8:30 p.m.
Game 3: Celtics at Heat – Sunday, May 21, 8:30 p.m.
Game 4: Celtics at Heat – Tuesday, May 23, 8:30 p.m.
