Jayson Tatum officially is listed as doubtful for Game 3 of the Celtics’ first-round playoffs series — and he’s not the only Boston starter whose status is uncertain.
The Celtics also listed guard Jrue Holiday as questionable for Friday night’s matchup with the Orlando Magic with a right hamstring strain.
The 34-year-old Holiday dealt with multiple injuries during the regular season, including a mallet finger ailment that has forced him to play with a cast on his right pinky since early March. He averaged 34.5 minutes per game over Boston’s first two postseason contests, totaling 20 points and a team-high 11 assists.
Tatum suffered a wrist injury in Game 1 of the series and missed Game 2 as a result. In an interview Thursday with 98.5 The Sports Hub’s “Zolak & Bertrand, “Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla called it a “severe bone bruise” and said Tatum is “day to day.”
The Celtics won 109-100 without Tatum on Wednesday to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
