The final unsigned member of the Celtics’ 2023-24 championship team has found a new home.

Forward Oshae Brissett signed a contract with the Long Island Nets, Brooklyn’s G League affiliate, according to Saturday’s G League transaction wire.

CLNS Media’s Bobby Manning was the first to report the signing.

Brissett was a bench player in his lone season with Boston, averaging 11.5 minutes, 3.7 points and 2.9 rebounds per game over 55 regular-season appearances. The 26-year-old Toronto native saw action in 10 of the Celtics’ 19 playoff games, but most of that came in garbage time, save for a couple of rotation cameos during the Eastern Conference finals against Indiana.

After the season, Brissett declined his $2.5 million player option to test free agency, but he remained unsigned for nearly six months. He briefly reconnected with his former Celtics teammates in late November, joining the team for its ceremonial trip to the White House.

“It was really cool to see Brissy again and have him be here and a part of it,” guard Derrick White said at the time. “Obviously, he was a big member of our team last year, so it was great to have him here and kind of just get the whole gang back together.”

Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla called Brissett “one of my favorite guys I’ve ever coached.”

“Just his personality, his character, who he is,” Mazzulla said in November. “Great teammate.”

Just two Celtics players left Boston this offseason: Brissett and reserve guard Svi Mikhailiuk, who signed with Utah in August. The Celtics added one player to their 15-man roster (first-round draft pick Baylor Scheierman) and have yet to fill their final open spot.

Brooklyn is far from championship contention, but Brissett could have opportunities for playing time there if he works his way up to the big club. The rebuilding Nets already traded away two veterans this season in Dennis Schroder and Dorian Finney-Smith and could deal more ahead of the NBA’s Feb. 6 trade deadline.

Players on G League contracts also are free to sign with other NBA teams.

In Boston, second-year pro Jordan Walsh has been the biggest beneficiary of Brissett’s departure. Walsh has played in 28 of the Celtics’ 41 games after logging just nine NBA appearances as a rookie.
