The Celtics will soon be under new ownership.

A group led by William Chisholm agreed to purchase Boston’s iconic NBA franchise from the Grousbeck family, a source told the Herald on Thursday. The terms of the agreement were not immediately disclosed.

Chisholm, a Massachusetts native and Dartmouth College graduate, is the co-founder, managing partner and chief investment officer at STG Partners.
