Move over Sully Sullenberger. A new hero pilot has saved the day.

A Cape Air pilot made a skillful landing while dealing with a “gear issue” at Boston Logan International Airport on Tuesday, according to officials.

The Cape Air twin-engine Cessna 402 took off from Logan on its way to Maine in the middle of the afternoon before the pilot was “alerted to a landing gear anomaly shortly after take-off,” a Cape Air spokesperson said.

The pilot turned the plane around and “landed with its gear up” around 3:20 p.m., according to the FAA, which is investigating the incident.

“The pilot performed the appropriate checklist and landed the aircraft back at Boston Logan Airport,” a Cape Air spokesperson said.

Three people were on board the flight that was headed for Bar Harbor, and there were no reported injuries.

Massport Fire Rescue responded to the incident.
