The Green Monster got its revenge.

Kansas City Royals center fielder Kyle Isbel ripped a line drive in the second inning tonight that crashed into a light — the yellow ones counting outs in an inning.

Those iconic lights are at the base of the Green Monster and they ate up this hit.

It left Red Sox left fielder Masataka Yoshida baffled — and the hit was ruled a ground-rule double.
