COLE BLAESER
XAVERIAN
Blaeser closed his career in style at St. John’s Prep by netting 36 total points. He propelled the Eagles during their run to the Div. 1 Final Four, and won the Hobey Baker High School Award. The senior boasts a GPA of 4.2, and is also a member of St. John’s Prep’s soccer and track programs. Drafted in the USPHL NCDC, Blaeser plans to play high level junior hockey, before hopefully playing in the collegiate ranks.
FINNEGAN BURKE
CATHOLIC MEMORIAL
During his senior season, Burke aided Catholic Memorial immensely during its voyage to the Div. 1 Elite 8. In addition to his talents as one of the top defensemen in the Commonwealth, he also found ways to contribute offensively, with four goals and 20 assists to his credit. Burke is a member of the National Honor Society, and plays golf in his spare time. He will continue his hockey career at Bowdoin College.
CAM FICI
BELMONT
Fici racked up a whopping 33 goals to go with 20 assists, leading Belmont to an appearance in the Div. 1 Sweet 16. Fici closes his high school career as a two-time Middlesex League MVP, and a recipient of the Boston Bruins Sportsmanship Award. Fici is also a member of Belmont’s golf team. He will attend Bentley University.
AIDAN HOLLAND
ST. JOHN’S PREP
Holland was named a Catholic Conference All-Star for the second time after registering 24 goals and 20 assists and a plus/minus of +31. A member of the Headmasters List and the Investment Club at St. John’s Prep, Holland enjoys studying finances.
JOSH IBY
POPE FRANCIS
Iby may have delivered the most unforgettable moment of this past MIAA hockey season, when he sniped the game-winning goal with 25.6 seconds left to hand Pope Francis the Div. 1 championship (a 3-2 victory over Xaverian). The senior center closed his career with 45 goals and 55 assists. Iby, who also plays lacrosse, made the Honor Roll three semesters. He will attend a postgraduate year at Cushing Academy next fall.
BRADY QUACKENBUSH
MARSHFIELD
The senior finished with a save percentage of .953, paired with a goals against average of just 0.83. He was chosen as a Co-MVP for the Patriot League, and named to the MSHCA Boys All-Star game as a result. A two-time Scholar Athlete Award winner and a member of the National Honor Society, Quackenbush also plays for the Bay State Breakers hockey team, as well as Marshfield’s lacrosse program. He will play a postgraduate season with Phillips Exeter Academy.
AIDAN BRAZEL
HINGHAM
As a senior, Brazel buried 15 goals to go with five assists, leading his team with a plus/minus of +16. He finished his high school career with 78 total points (46 goals, 32 assists), and was chosen to play in the CT/MA Cross-Border HS Hockey All-Star Challenge. The right wing has been named to the honor roll each term; he enjoys fishing and golfing as hobbies. He plans to play club hockey at Fairfield University while studying Finance.
BRADY BULLOCK
ST. MARY’S (LYNN)
Bullock proved to be a catalyst for St. Mary’s (Lynn) as he racked up 16 goals to go with 11 assists. The forward was critical for the Spartans, as they enjoyed a run to the Div. 1 Sweet 16. He was selected to participate in the MSHCA Boys All-Star Game on March 26. Bullock is also a member of St. Mary’s baseball program.
DREW COADY
BRAINTREE
Coady proved to be a dual-threat for Braintree during its march to the Div. 1 Elite 8. In addition to emerging as one of the Bay State Conference’s top defensemen, he also collected five goals and dished out 15 assists. The senior was named a MSHCA Boys All-Star. Coady plays for Braintree’s boys lacrosse program, and enjoys playing video games in his spare time. He plans to play junior hockey next, with the hope of playing at the collegiate level in the near future.
DREW DAMIANI
LYNNFIELD
Damiani tallied 12 goals and 24 assists this past winter, eclipsing 100 career points (123 total). The senior defenseman was the Cape Ann League’s Most Valuable Player for the second time, and named a First Team All-Star despite playing the second half of the season with a torn UCL in his thumb. Damiani has a 3.85 GPA.
JACK DICKIE
WATERTOWN/WAYLAND
Dickie (10 goals to go with eight assists) was MVP of the Middlesex League (Freedom Division). He was a league All-Star for a third time after helping Watertown/Wayland reach the Div. 3 Final Four. Also a member of Watertown’s golf team, the senior enjoys spending time with friends in his free time.
AIDEN DUNPHY
SILVER LAKE
Dunphy had a breakout year (14 goals, 38 assists) and was named the Patriot League’s Most Valuable Player and a recipient of the Boston Bruins Sportsmanship Award. The senior eclipsed 100 points for his career (120 total), one of just seven in program history to do so. Dunphy is also a two-time Eastern Mass. Soccer All-Star, and a member of the Lakers’ boys lacrosse program.
JASON FINKELSTEIN
WALPOLE
Finkelstein sniped 27 goals and tacked on 23 assists this winter. He was selected to the Bay State Conference All-Star team, and named the league’s Most Valuable Player after guiding Walpole to the Div. 2 Final Four. Another recipient of the Boston Bruins Sportsmanship Award, Finkelstein also has a talent for baseball, the sport he will be playing at Babson College next.
PETER GRACE
BELMONT
Grace was a Middlesex League (Liberty Division) All-Star after scoring six goals while racking up 22 assists. The senior teamed up with Cam Fici to help propel Belmont to the Div. 1 Round of 16. Grace is a high honor roll student. He will be attending Boston University next fall.
CHRIS HANIFAN
READING
Hanifan caught fire in net for Reading during the postseason, leading the 14th-seeded Rockets on a Cinderella run to the Div. 1 Final Four. He surrendered just 41 goals (two during the playoffs) over 25 games, finishing with a save percentage of .930 and a goals against average of 1.64. He also registered eight shutouts. Also a member of Reading’s baseball program, the junior likes to surf when he get the chance, and boasts a GPA of 3.4.
MAURICE KEARNEY
POPE FRANCIS
Kearney played a critical role in delivering Pope Francis the Div. 1 championship, as he set up Josh Iby for the game-winning goal with an assist in the final seconds. He finished with 40 points (16 goals, 24 assists). The junior also plays for the U18 Thunderbirds National Fall hockey team. He is undecided on a college destination.
DILLAN LOWE
NASHOBA
The senior defenseman netted five goals and added 22 assists, good enough to finish second on his team with 27 total points, as Nashoba won the Div. 3 state title. He also blocked 31 shots. Academically, the senior was the recipient of the English Award, as well as the Woods/Technology Award this past year. Lowe will play a year of juniors hockey with the Worcester Railers next.
SAM MAZANEC
DUXBURY
Mazanec, one of the South Shore’s top goaltenders, led Duxbury to the Div. 2 Final Four. He finished with a 1.88 goals against average over 25 games, registering a save percentage of .950 in the process. He was a Patriot League All-Star for the second time, and won the 2023 Character Award.
COLIN MCIVER
SANDWICH
The Cape and Islands League All-Star had 51 total points this past season (23 goals, 28 assists). The senior finishes his career as one of the top scorers in Blue Knights history with 103 points overall and played a crucial role in leading Sandwich to a Div. 4 boys hockey championship appearance for a second straight season. McIver is a member of the Cape Cod Lightning club team, and plans to study Architecture in college.
CHASE MCKENNA
HINGHAM
The senior defenseman scored 24 points in 24 games, while leading the team in blocked shots, plus-minus and shots on goal. McKenna was selected for the Massachusetts Senior All-Star Game. For his career, McKenna amassed 40 points and had an impressive plus-minus of +51. A member of the National Honor Society, McKenna plays for the South Shore Kings U18.
PAVIT MEHRA
HOPKINTON
The MVP of the Tri-Valley League amassed 40 goals and 30 assists this winter, carrying the Hillers to an appearance in the Div. 2 state finals. Mehra is a member of the Cape Cod Whalers, as well as the Boston Hockey Club team. He will play junior hockey next.
GAVIN MOYNIHAN
XAVERIAN
Moynihan led Xaverian in points scored this season with 29 overall (10 goals, 19 assists). The senior center was named a Catholic Conference All-Star, as he helped with guiding the Hawks to a Div. 1 championship appearance, the second straight for the program. Moynihan plays club hockey with the East Coast Militia, and has an outstanding G.P.A. of 4.40. He is currently enrolled in URI’s PharmD program.
JACKIE MURPHY
BC HIGH
The senior had 10 goals and seven assists and was a Catholic Conference All-Star, leading the Eagles to title runs in the Peter Frates Winter Classic as well as the Buddy Ferreira Classic. Murphy is undecided on his future plans, but is looking at doing a postgrad year.
BEN O’KEEFE
TEWKSBURY
O’Keefe recorded eight shutouts during Tewksbury’s journey to the Div. 2 Sweet 16, setting a school record. He finished with a save percentage of .936 to pair with a goals against average of 1.12. The senior was the Merrimack Valley Conference (Div. 2) Player of the Year. O’Keefe plays for the Boston Junior Rangers Club team, and is a member of Tewksbury’s baseball and golf teams. He plans on playing junior hockey next, before eventually going to college.
LEO OWENS
CANTON
Owens missed the first half of the 2022-23 season with injuries, but came roaring back when it mattered most. The senior defenseman finished with eight assists and was a crucial backstop for Canton during its trip to the Div. 2 state title. Owens was Canton’s Student of the Month for his academic performance last October. He will attend Merrimack in the fall and plans on joining the school’s club hockey team.
BEN PATERSON
FRANKLIN
Paterson was the Hockomock League’s MVP after posting 31 points (14 goals, 17 assists) as the Panthers enjoyed a run to the Div. 1 Sweet 16. Paterson, who has a 3.6 FPA, also plays golf and is a member of school’s lacrosse program.
ANTHONY PATETE
EAST/WEST BRIDGEWATER
Patete had 31 goals, 21 assists, and was an MSHCA All-Star. The senior captain closed his high school tenure with 111 total career points. Patete is a three-time South Shore League soccer All-Star at East Bridgewater and plays lacrosse as well. He will continue his hockey career in the ACHA Hockey League while attending Bridgewater State University.

READING
Pennucci finished with 10 goals and 18 assists, helping Reading reach the Div. 1 Final Four; the senior center was a Middlesex League All-Star. Pennucci closed his career with 96 points overall. Pennucci will be attending Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles next, where he will study Engineering and plans on playing for the school’s club hockey program.

XAVERIAN
Pouliot-Porter was the hero in net for Xaverian during the postseason, carrying the Hawks to the Div. 1 title game. The junior boasted an impressive goals against average of 1.96, with a save percentage of .936. He plays for the Buffalo Regals U16 AAA club team in his spare time.
TEAGAN PRATT
SCITUATE
The senior captain collected 58 points (30 goals, 28 assists) to shoulder Scituate during its voyage to the Div. 3 title game. The left winger eclipsed 100 career points (105 overall). Pratt likes to play golf, in addition to fishing and weightlifting. He is looking to play a postgraduate year of hockey next, with hopes of eventually playing collegiately down the line.

ARLINGTON
Russell notched 19 goals and 15 assists over the course of 16 games, as the Spy Ponders made a trip to the Div. 1 Sweet 16. The senior was a two-time Middlesex League All-Star. The National Honor Society member is undecided on his college destination.
AJ THOMAS
CANTON
Thomas tallied 13 goals and dished out eight assists, and capped a 4-1 championship game victory over Hopkinton with an open-netter. A senior and an Honor Roll member, Thomas plays for the South Shore Kings U18 National (Bound Tier 1) club team. He is planning on studying criminal justice in college.
WILL VAN SICKLIN
ST. JOHN’S PREP
Over the course of 22 games, Van Sicklin sniped 13 goals and added 18 assists, helping St. John’s Prep reach the Div. 1 Final Four. The senior, a Catholic Conference All-Star, is a member of the National Honor Society as well as the Spanish Honor Society. Van Sicklin is also on the Head of School List at St. John’s Prep.
TIMMY WARD
NORWELL
Ward, who finished with 74 points on the season (33 goals, 41 assists), scored the winning goal that won the Div. 4 title in an unforgettable 4-3 overtime victory against Sandwich in March. Ward is also a member of the Clippers’ boys lacrosse team, and also enjoys playing golf and soccer. He will attend Providence College.
OWEN WATSON
CATHOLIC MEMORIAL
Watson finished with a goals against average of 1.14 to go with a save percentage of .941. He also recorded eight shutouts, helping the Knights claim the Catholic Conference title. The junior was later named the league’s Most Valuable Player, and chosen to play in the CT/MA Cross-Border HS Hockey All-Star Challenge. Watson plays for the Boch Blazers club hockey team, and is currently undecided on where he plans on attending college.

MALDEN CATHOLIC
Zinck was named a Boston Bruins Sportsmanship Award recipient after finishing with a .917 save percentage. The senior was named his team’s Defensive MVP. Zinck has made the Honor Roll every semester of high school to this point, and received Headmaster’s List accolades 11 times. Zinck is actually a fine golfer in his own right and will be playing that sport collegiately at Merrimack next.
