Three separate shootings in the city injured two within an hour of each other Saturday night and remain under investigation, according to police.
Officers initially responded to a call of shots fired at the intersection of Wales Street and Browning Avenue around 8:40 p.m. Police said they recovered ballistics down the road at Harambee Park, where the first day of the annual Crew Love basketball tournament had wrapped up more than an hour beforehand.
The second incident happened 10 minutes later, and about two miles away in Dorchester, where a person was shot in the area of Pleasant Street and Savin Hill Avenue. Emergency responders took the victim to a local hospital for treatment of injuries that police described as not life threatening.
Police then responded a little over half an hour later to the third shooting of the night, around 9:25, in the area of Hollander and Crawford streets in Roxbury. The victim in that shooting was also taken to an area hospital with injuries that are not life threatening, police said.
