Officials at Boston Logan International Airport contacted the CDC after “various illnesses” were reported on incoming flights on Sunday.
The Delta and Avianca flights, which originated in different cities, arrived in Boston at around the same time Sunday afternoon as strong gusty winds whipped around the region.
Massport Fire responded to the two international flights, which reportedly had people with “various illnesses.”
Two people were transported to the hospital.
“We reached out to the CDC out of an abundance of caution,” a Massport spokesperson said in a statement.
The Delta flight was from Paris, and the Avianca flight was reportedly from San Salvador.
“No public health authority involvement to respond to two Delta’s flight crew who sought medical attention yesterday after not feeling well,” a Delta spokesperson said in a statement. “No customers reported any illness.”
Avianca did not immediately respond to comment.
