Jordon Hudson may be the most famous of this year’s Miss Maine USA hopefuls, but Bill Belichick’s 24-year-old girlfriend is currently several hundred votes behind in the People’s Choice portion of the competition.
The former cheerleader — who for more than two years has been in a controversial relationship with the 73-year-old Super Bowl-winning coach — sits at just around 225 votes as of early Thursday evening, well behind leader Lexi Bjork at over 1,400.
At the time of publication, Hudson sits at sixth place in the contest, for which fans can pay $1 per vote.
In addition to the nearly 50-year age difference in Hudson’s May-December relationship, she’s been the subject of much scrutiny since interrupting Belichick’s recent “CBS Sunday Morning” interview to shut down a question about how they met.
The former Patriots coach has denied Hudson was trying to “control” the interview and insists she was just acting as a publicist would — a statement that’s been challenged by his daughter-in-law.
This week, news broke that Hudson was banned from all facilities at the University of North Carolina, where Belichick is currently the head football coach. The university has since denied the reports.
The Miss Maine show starts Saturday at 7 p.m., with voting for People’s Choice open until Sunday.
