Scituate Light, activated in 1811, is beaming again!

The lights were turned back on Wednesday continuing a tradition that has passed the test of time. The historic lighthouse was once home to young sisters Abigail and Rebecca Bates, who helped prevent the British from taking over the town in the War of 1812 by grabbing a fife and drum and making the racket of a regiment. There’s more history, and that’s now open for business again.
