The Soviet-style Democratic Party slime machine has moved on from Donald Trump and chosen its newest target: a member of the prominent Kennedy family who has emerged as a threat to Joe Biden.
The media of course is playing a willing part in the attacks, portraying Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as the “conservative’s favorite Democrat” and a dangerous, paranoid, anti-vaccine wingnut. Canceled.
“Democrats Shouldn’t Ignore RFK Jr. They Should Expose Him,” proclaims New York Magazine.
“Pro-RFK Jr. Super PAC Has Deep Ties to Marjorie Taylor Greene, George Santos,” blares a Rolling Stone article.
“He should be regarded as a pest doing the bidding of the opposing party,” New York Magazine said.
Kennedy doesn’t stand much of a chance of being elected president, so why have the Biden campaign and media launched these vicious, coordinated attacks?
It’s because Kennedy, son of the slain Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, is topping 20% in the polls. That’s enough in Biden’s view to trigger the kind of slime the old Soviet Union used to throw at their political opponents.
Back in the day, Soviet dictators like Joseph Stalin would throw their critics in an insane asylum prison – the ultimate punishment for anyone who dared question government authority.
Now Democrats are basically doing the same thing to RFK Jr., labeling him as a crazy conspiracy theorist for questioning COVID vaccines and government mandates.
The Biden machine has gone so far as to recruit other Kennedy family members to isolate RFK Jr. by coming out publicly against his candidacy and his views.
You don’t have to endorse Kennedy’s views but in a country with protected speech, he has the right to say what he wants and run for public office – without getting censored by YouTube or Facebook.
But the censorship is already going on. Democrats are refusing to schedule a debate between Biden and Kennedy and other Democratic candidates, and in fact have made clear there won’t be any primary debates.
But Kennedy’s getting more traction now than many Democrats first thought. He could end up being a Biden spoiler – especially in states like New Hampshire, which is trying to position itself as the first in the nation primary. Conservative Democrats especially may be tempted to bolt Biden’s campaign for Kennedy’s.
Biden is unlikely to compete in New Hampshire – a state where he has been trounced in the past – because the primary date has been disavowed by the DNC. But Kennedy will compete and actually has a chance to win.
“Fox News may celebrate a Kennedy win or near win in the Granite State,” New York Magazine said. “That should be regarded as spin or the kind of conspiracy RFK Jr. often embraces.”
