The American Repertory Theater’s Oberon space in Harvard Square spent a dozen years as a magnet for experimental, exotic, and downright wild performances. Oberon’s closing at the end of 2021 left an artistic hole in the Square. Now the 2 Arrow Street space will rise again as Arrow Street Arts.

A new center for music, theater, and more, Arrow Street Arts launches this week with a bloom and a boom. Get out those calendars and follow along to discover a few amazing September offerings.

Five Boston area dance companies — Anubhava Dance Company, Human Movement Project, Jean Appolon Expressions, Public Displays of Motion, and Unyted Stylz — come together to put on distinct, diverse productions for this festival-in-a-day event.

It takes one to know one. Boston ace Will Dailey put together a unique bill including sets from Puerto Rican cuatro whiz Fabiola Méndez, singer-songwriter-indie rock powerhouse Abbie Barrett, and honestly-this-guy-does-everything-and-does-it-well artist Cliff Notez,

Jazzmyn RED is basically the hip hop scholar in the Hub. This event has her leading a hands-on workshop on the art form and cultural movement. Add in graffiti art, dance, and a performance by saxophonist Tim Hall and you have a hell of an evening.

Tyler Twombly will enchant and bewitch with a “mix of one-of-a-kind magic creations, psychological shenanigans, sleight-of-hand, juggling and audience participation.” And know that Twombly ain’t no slouch. He’s performed twice on “Penn & Teller: Fool Us Twice.” Ages 12 and up are welcome.

Nobody can get enough Jazzmyn RED. Nobody! She’s back at this co-curation with BAMS Fest with Mz Mo Phila, Dutch Rebelle, Brandie Blaze, kei, and Cakeswagg.

This 10 a.m. theater program caters to the world’s worst audience: babies. Join in the fun as an overly ambitious and completely inexperienced diner waits on babies being, well, babies. After a sold-out run at the 2023 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, this interactive theater piece is fun for tots, parents, or really anyone.
