NextImg:Another E. coli recall: falafel bites from Florida, California and 16 other states

David J. Neal | (TNS) Miami Herald

One of the ripple effects following Saturday’s recall of organic carrots pulled one lot of falafel bites out of pantries in Florida, California, Texas, New York and 14 other states.

New Jersey-based Fabalish said one of the ingredient suppliers for it’s Fabalish Kickin’ Carrot Falafel Bites gets its product from Grimmway Farms, which made the massive recall of whole and baby organic carrots last weekend after they were linked to an outbreak of E. coli O121:H19.

The recalled falafel bites come in 10-ounce boxes and are from lot No. 260925, which can be found on one of the sides.

Customers who bought the bites did so from the Fabalish website and are from Florida, California, Texas, Georgia, Illinois, New York, Colorado, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, Utah and Washington.

If you bought the falafel bites, Fabalish is asking you to throw them in the trash and email the photo to orders@fabalish to get a full refund. Questions can be directed to 201-942-2900, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Eastern time.
