The city honored 32 high school seniors who made it to the top of their class at the 25th annual BPS Valedictorians Luncheon on Tuesday.

Mayor Michelle Wu, BPS Superintendent Mark Skipper and Boston School Committee Chair Jeri Robinson all showed up to address the 32 valedictorians of Boston’s public schools during the ceremony at Fenway Park. The luncheon was attended by the valedictorians and their friends and family, along with elected officials, school staff and many others.

Throughout the ceremony, speakers touted the outstanding students’ accomplishments, along with their future plans and goals.

Arlin Yanes, the valedictorian of Madison Park Technical Vocational High School, delivered the valedictorians address, reflecting on her time in the school system. Amaka Ubaka of WHDH emceed the event.

Boston valedictorians in recent years have represented a diverse array of students, with many reportedly the first in their families to go to college and many first generation immigrants.
