The Patriots’ 2025 NFL schedule features at least three primetime games, a late bye and a game to circle on your calendars in Week 7 at 1 p.m. ET.

Here’s one thought on all 18 weeks of the Patriots’ 2025 schedule:

Will Tom Brady return to Foxboro for the third straight year? Now a minority owner of the Raiders with Pete Carroll as his head coach and Geno Smith as his quarterback, Brady was back in Week 1 of the 2023 season and for a special ceremony on June 12 last year.

The Patriots have not beaten the Dolphins in Miami in the 2020s, and they’ve lost by an average deficit of 13 points. Traveling to South Florida in mid-September won’t be easy, when the weather should still feel sweltering.

The Steelers’ current quarterbacks are Mason Rudolph, Skylar Thompson and rookie Will Howard. This matchup becomes a lot more intriguing if Aaron Rodgers as at quarterback.

Drake Maye’s hometown Panthers travel to play the Patriots in Week 4.

The Patriots haven’t played a game in Buffalo this early in the season since 2019. In the 2020s, the Bills have won five of six games in Orchard Park, N.Y.

The Patriots will face off against their former defensive tackle Davon Godchaux in the first late afternoon game of the season. It’s still up in the air whether Jake Haener, 2024 fifth-round pick Spencer Rattler or 2025 second-round pick Tyler Shough will be at QB.

Mike Vrabel makes his return to Nashville in the Patriots’ third consecutive road game. Vrabel was fired as the Titans’ head coach following the 2023 season. He spent a year as a consultant with the Browns before being hired as the Patriots’ head coach this offseason.

This is where it becomes obvious that the Patriots face one of the league’s weakest schedules this season. There are currently five options for the Browns at quarterback: Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Deshaun Watson and rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders. Sanders would be the funnest option.

It’s a battle of 2024 first-round quarterbacks with Michael Penix and the Falcons traveling to play Maye and the Patriots.

Not a bad time to travel to central Florida when the weather starts to cool in New England. The Patriots missed out on Bucs wide receiver Chris Godwin when he elected to re-sign with Tampa in free agency.

The Patriots get to stay home on Thursday night this season, making the short turnaround that much easier.

The Patriots beat the Bengals in Week 1 last season, presenting false hope for the fanbase, players and coaching staff. Now, the Patriots will get extra rest coming off of the Thursday night game before playing the Bengals.

The second straight week of additional rest, the Patriots get to stay home for Monday Night Football against the Giants in their third primetime game of the season. Will it be rookie Jaxson Dart, Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston or Tommy DeVito at quarterback by Week 13?

The second straight year the Patriots have had a Week 14 bye. The first half of the season will be taxing before Vrabel’s crew finally gets a break.

The final four weeks of the season are stacked with AFC rivals. The stretch run kicks off with Josh Allen and the Bills coming to New England.

The Ravens and Lamar Jackson are expected to be vying for the postseason when the Patriots travel to Baltimore.

Let’s see where things stand for the Jets, who are expected to start Justin Fields at quarterback this season and new head coach in Aaron Glenn.

The Patriots will have to play the Dolphins in the heat in mid-September, and Mike McDaniel, Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill must travel up to the cold to finish off their season.
