Two people were arrested for separate stabbing incidents in Roxbury and Dorchester on Saturday, BPD reported Sunday, and one 14-year-old boy was arrested with a gun in Hyde Park on Friday.

On Friday, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force were conducting a missing person investigation in the area of 6 Alwin Street for a juvenile with an outstanding warrant, the police said.

Around 2 p.m., officers reportedly saw the kid enter an idling car with a second person and intiated a traffic stop as the vehicle moved.

BPD said officers made contact with all people in the car, had them exit the vehicle. They searched the car, BPD said, and found a firearm, later determined to be a Kel-Tec Sub-2000 Rifle with 15 rounds in the magazine.

The other car occupants were “promptly released,” police stated.

The 14-year-old suspect was placed under arrest and charged with Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device.

The suspect is expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court, BPD said.

Police also made arrests in two stabbing incidents on Saturday.

The first suspect, Michael Josey, 62, was arrested on Assault and Battery charges at about 6:13 p.m. in Roxbury, police said.

Police responded to a report of a male stabbing a victim in the area of 493 Blue Hill Avenue and fleeing the scene, BPD said.

The responders reportedly saw a man matching the suspect’s description leaving the scene with a screw driver and stopped the man.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Josey is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.

The second suspect, Roy Taylor, 66, of Cambridge, was arrested in Dorchester shortly after around 6:28 p.m. also on Assault and Battery charges.

Police said they responded to the area of 190 Westview Street for a report of another stabbing. The suspect had reportedly fled the area in a vehicle, BPD said.

The responding officers obtained the vehicle’s registration and tracked it heading to Cambridge, BPD said. The suspect was caught, taken into custody and charged with Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, and Mayhem.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Taylor is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court, BPD said.
