Latest Pennsylvania Voter Registration Numbers Show Republicans Quickly Closing The Gap on Democrats

Pennsylvania is a state that many political observers will be watching like hawks in the months leading up to the presidential election on November 5. 2024.
For perspective, sitting president Joe Biden won the state by slightly over 1 percentage point (50% to 48.8%) in the 2020 presidential election. However, Republicans appear to be making ground in the state thanks to several ballot chasing efforts being spearheaded by The Pennsylvania Chase founder Cliff Maloney.
In a post that he published on July 8, 2024 on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Maloney revealed that the Democrat’ party registration advantage fell by half since 2020.
He highlighted the following:
“CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY!
New Pennsylvania voter registration numbers hit today…
Democrats have seen their party registration edge in PA cut in HALF since 2020.
November 2020: Dems +813,885
November 2021: Dems +605,188
November 2022: Dems +549,568
November 2023: Dems +446,566

Curiously, in 2024 alone, 28,382 Democrats have switched their party affiliation to Republican, while just 9,846 Republicans have changed their affiliation to the Democrat side of the aisle as of June 24.
According to the latest polling, the race between Biden and Trump remains heated.
A recently published Emerson poll found Trump ahead of Biden by two points (51% to 49%). Similarly, a Redfield & Wilton Strategies poll discovered that Trump was leading Biden by two points (44% to 42%).
Due to the competitive nature of a battleground state such as Pennsylvania, every vote will count in this election cycle. Grassroots organizations such as The Pennsylvania Chase will play a critical role in putting this state in the win column for Republicans.
