NextImg:Woke DEI Female Commandant of the Coast Guard Fired for Elevating DEI over Core Mission of Protecting the Coast, Failing to Stop Fentanyl Smuggling, and a General "Erosion of Trust"

This is important and telling. The GOP Establishment, of course, would be too frightened to ever even contemplate a #DEIApocalypse of firing woke DEI hires. Even first term Trump would have been talked out of by woke-traitor staffers, who would lie to him and tell him "It's illegal to fire a lesbian."

I don't know if she is a lesbian -- her Wikipedia "Personal Life" entry is very sparse and only says she has a daughter. No husband or father mentioned.

But they would have told Trump "It's akshually illegal to fire a lesbian" whether she is or isn't. Let's say she's Lesbian Adjacent.

Second term Trump is the Trump we all wanted but didn't get due to constant gaslighting and crisis-making by government bureaucrats.

Admiral Linda Fagan, who oversaw the US Coast Guard, has been terminated for operational failure and misdirecting all of the organization's resources away from training, retention, and border security over to Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity (DEI) initiatives within the USCG.

DEI: Trump fired the DEI-hire Commandant Admiral Linda Lee Fagan for her utter incompetence and failure to secure the border, meet recruitment goals, and for an 'Erosion of Trust...'

Fox News:

Coast Guard commandant terminated over border lapses, recruitment, DEI focus: official

EXCLUSIVE: The Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard has been terminated over concerns about the border, recruitment and an "erosion of trust," a senior DHS official confirmed to Fox News.

Adm. Linda Lee Fagan, 61, has been terminated by the Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Benjamine Huffman, the official said.

Fagan has demonstrated leadership deficiencies, operational failures and an inability to advance the strategic objectives of the Coast Guard.

These include the failure to address border security threats, insufficient leadership in recruitment and retention, mismanagement in acquiring key acquisitions such as icebreakers and helicopters, excessive focus on diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and an "erosion of trust" over the mishandling and cover-up of Operation Fouled Anchor, which was the Coast Guard's internal investigation into sexual assault cases at the Coast Guard Academy.

Fagan is accused of ineffective deployment of Coast Guard assets to support national border security, including in intercepting fentanyl and other illicit substances. She also had insufficient coordination with DHS to prioritize operations along maritime borders.

The DHS official said Fagan had significant failures in recruiting personnel, which worsened issues related to operational readiness. The official added that the lack of innovative strategies to address retention struggles in critical specialties weakened workforce sustainability.

...

Fagan also made DEI policies a priority, including at the Coast Guard Academy, which diverted resources and focus from operational essentials.

The NY Post:

Confirmed in June 2021, Fagan presided over multiple years when the service came up short on its recruitment goals by as much as 20%, before barely exceeding the threshold for active-duty and reserve coasties in fiscal year 2024.

Congressional Republicans had accused Fagan of impeding military readiness, noting that the low recruitment rate had forced some ships to be decommissioned.

"Also contributing to lower retention and recruitment is indoctrination training," wrote Reps. Eli Crane (R-Ariz.) and Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) in an August 2024 letter to then-Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

"We have heard from service members concerned with trainings and events they believe to be extraneous to mission-critical tasks, specifically Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) inclusivity training programs, including ... examples of official USCG announcements encouraging service member participation in Transgender Shipmates Inclusion Training," they added.

Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.) also highlighted how so-called "woke" Coast Guard policies affected other service branches.

"Our service academies are critical institutions for the security of our nation, not laboratories for the far-left's social experiments," the now-senator told The Post in October 2023. "Forcing radical gender ideology on the young men and women who want to serve their country is dangerous and wrong."

Banks especially excoriated officials for implementing a policy at the Merchant Marine Academy on Long Island that let midshipmen undergoing gender transitions seek exemptions from their military service requirement.

You tell 'em Trump's comin' and he's bringin' hell with him.

So Trump ordered the "termination of all discriminatory programs, including illegal DEI and 'diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility' (DEIA) mandates, policies, programs, preferences, and activities in the Federal Government, under whatever name they appear." He tasked the director of the Office of Management and Budget, the director of the Office of Personnel Management, and the attorney general with enforcing this change.

"Americans deserve a government committed to serving every person with equal dignity and respect, and to expending precious taxpayer resources only on making America great," the order reads. "Federal employment practices, including Federal employee performance reviews, shall reward individual initiative, skills, performance, and hard work and shall not under any circumstances consider DEI or DEIAf actors, goals, policies, mandates, or requirements."

The order tells the AG and director of OPM to "review and revise, as appropriate, all existing Federal employment practices, union contracts, and training policies or programs" for compliance.

It directs administration officials to "terminate" the following: "all DEI, DEIA, and 'environmental justice' offices and positions"; "'equity action plans"; "'equity' actions, initiatives, or programs"; "'equity-related' grants or contracts"; and "all DEI or DEIA performance requirements for employees, contractors, or grantees." Deputy heads must "assess the operational impact ... and cost" of Biden's DEI policies and recommend steps for compliance.

Huh. So the New Policy is "hire based on merit, retain or promote based on results." What an exciting innovation in employment. It's almost completely unprecedented, except for the first million years of human existence.
