I mean, another fraud on the court. We know that Hunter Biden's lawyer claimed she was working with the House and instructed the clerk of the court to remove an important piece of evidence from Hunter's file.
The fresh fraud involves the DOJ, because of course it does.
The plea deal fell apart when the judge demanded to know: What crimes, exactly, is the prosecution giving Hunter Biden immunity for in this plea deal? Just the crimes he's pleading guilty to? What about all the other crimes he committed, like acting a foreign agent without registering under the FARA Act?
Supposedly, they had never discussed this foundational point, and so the "two sides" -- I submit they are on the same side -- argued in court about what immunities Hunter was and was not being granted.
Plea deals are normally structured to have the defendant plead guilty to certain crimes in exchange for not being charged with other crimes. What other crimes were in the plea deal as being taken off the table? We don't know the answer to that, but the judge seemed completely unimpressed with what the two sides had brought her. Further, when asked by the judge if such a deal had any precedent, the prosecutor was forced to admit that there was none.
As mentioned by Glenn Thrush's reporting above, the deal was attempting to give Hunter Biden broad, near total immunity into perpetuity from future crimes. That led the judge to ask whether the investigation was still ongoing, at which point the DOJ admitted it was. That put the two sides at a technical impasse, and one the judge wasn't willing to overlook.
Zooming out, it appears that Hunter Biden's team was intent on getting it on the record that by signing the plea, all investigations into Hunter Biden (and by virtue, possible future charges related to them) would be ended. Meanwhile, the DOJ seemed happy to let that happen until the judge threw up a roadblock.
It's impossible -- impossible that there was no deal to grant Hunter Biden full "global" immunity regarding all crimes he may have committed and may in the future be discovered to have committed.
What happened was that the prosecutors assured him of full "global" immunity going forward -- but they didn't want to admit in court that they had made this incredible No Jail for Any Crimes, Ever deal.
So they lied to the judge about it.

The outcome of the Biden plea hearing is a cover story.
There is NO WAY that the two sides didn't discuss before today whether this was a "Global Plea" or not.
The idea that Hunter's team only learned today that other charges are still possible is idiotic.
One of two things is true:
1) There was a "wink and nod" agreement that this would be the only charges he faced, but neither side wanted to put it in writing due to the firestorm it would cause.
2) Realizing there was no way to escape the firestorm that has come up since the plea deal surfaced, they used the "excuse" that other charges might yet be filed to step back and talk about the case further rather than go forward.
This was performance art today. They knew they couldn't go forward in the face of the IRS whistleblower testimony and all the other revelations about how Hunter and Biden family members getting millions of foreign revenue.
A lot of people in the DOJ need to be fired, and a number of them need to go to prison for long stretches.
Related: This is an important question. Why is Hunter's bong-ripping "Sugar Brother" willing to spend literally millions of dollars of his "own money" -- or is it his own money he's spending? -- to bail Hunter Biden out of his tax jams and other criminal charges?
I mean -- are they lovers? Or is Morris acting as a front for other Democrat donors, secretly, illegally piping money to Hunter Biden?
Photographs from the press would later confirm Morris' attendance at the plea hearing, and it once again begs the question: Why exactly is Morris willing to spend millions of dollars on Hunter Biden?
The relationship between the two has never made much sense. How many wealthy individuals do you know who are willing to pay off $2.8 million in unpaid taxes for a drug addict without receiving something in return? That's exactly what Morris did for Hunter Biden, structuring it as a "loan" that will obviously never be paid back in order to avoid further taxation. Morris has also been paying legal fees for the president's son and even bought him a fancy car to drive around.
Is Morris receiving some kind of preferential treatment from the Biden administration? Is he working to cover something up by ensuring Hunter Biden is protected from further legal culpability? I don't know the answer, but I know his supposed generosity doesn't begin to add up.
The DOJ should be sniffing around to find out why Morris is doing what he's doing. Of course, the DOJ is too busy letting Hunter Biden off the hook to do that so I'm spitting into the wind.
Related question: Why does so-called "private citizen" Hunter Biden have a f***ing motorcade?!!?
WHO THE F*** IS PAYING FOR THIS UNEMPLOYABLE CRACK-ADDLED BROKEASS PRINCELING TO LIVE LIKE A SAUDI SHEIK??!!
The plea deal was then restricted to the the tax and gun charges.
Which are charged as felonies, with jail time, in almost all other cases.
But, if I am all caught up now, Hunter Biden then rejected the plea deal and plead "not guilty," which is the funniest thing the Smartest Man Joe Biden Knows ever said.
