NextImg:Tucker Carlson Offers First Report on January 6th Videos

Matt Vespa:

Fox News host Tucker Carlson did it. He released the unedited footage of the January 6 riot, part of the 41,000 hours of footage given to him by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy. News of this disclosure sent liberal America into full tantrum mode because they knew all the false narratives about that day would be eviscerated. Carlson wasted no time, dispensing with the ongoing myth that this day was worse than 9/11 or the Pearl Harbor attacks. It was, at times, chaotic and violent, but we knew why Democrats didn't want this footage released. It was mainly a tedious exercise.

Hundreds, if not thousands, of people entered the Capitol Building only to sightsee, take local newspapers off tables, and walk around their building. They revere the institution, protesting because they thought the 2020 election was stolen. Whether they're right or wrong is irrelevant; you can hold incorrect opinions. Just ask any Democrat. And yet, this event was weaponized by the Department of Justice to carry out retribution on behalf of the political class. We have scores of people imprisoned for mere trespassing, serving sentences that escape most violent criminals nowadays.

Carlson spoke about Jacob Chansley, the "QAnon Shaman," who was sentenced to nearly four years for the terrorist act of walking around the Capitol Building. He was escorted by Capitol Police, who had multiple chances to arrest him and didn't. They're even caught on camera trying to enter some of the rooms that were locked. Yet, this man was treated like Timothy McVeigh, with some liberal blowhards calling for his death; they felt he should have been shot by police. The footage shows that the police helped some of these people.

Julie Kelly:
Carlson exposed falsehoods that bolster key animating aspects of January 6 including the movements of Jacob Chansley; the activity of still-uncharged agitator Ray Epps; the death of Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick; alleged "reconnaissance tours" conducted by House Republicans the day before; the "escape" of Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.); and the overall deceptiveness of the January 6 Select Committee. "Taken as a whole, the video record does not support the claim that January 6 was an insurrection," Carlson explained. "In fact, it demolishes that claim. And that's exactly why the Democratic Party and its allies in the media prevented you from seeing it."

At least nine police officers escorted Jacob Chansley, the so-called "QAnon shaman" throughout the building that afternoon. Some even opened doors so Chansley could access rooms inside the Capitol. Chansley was recorded inside the Senate chambers where he led a prayer and thanked law enforcement.

...

American Greatness first reported Chansley's peaceful interaction with Capitol Police officers in May 2021. Chansely spent more than 300 days in solitary confinement conditions under court-ordered pretrial detention before finally accepting an offer to plead guilty to the nonviolent offense of obstruction of an official proceeding. In announcing his sentence in November 2021, U.S. District Court Judge Royce Lamberth described Chansley, a Navy veteran with no criminal record and a history of mental disorders, as the "epitome" of January 6 and insisted his conduct was "horrific." (Chansley was not charged with a violent crime.) He is currently serving a 41 month prison term.

During one televised hearing, the January 6 Select committee aired a very brief clip of Hawley leaving the Senate chambers, video designed to show Hawley was fearful of the alleged "insurrectionists" after raising his fist in support of the crowd prior to the start of the joint session. Journalists and those in attendance at the July 2022 hearing laughed in response. "That famous clip is a sham, edited deceptively by the January 6 committee," Carlson said. "The clip was propaganda, not evidence." Carlson explained the full recording shows numerous lawmakers being "ushered out" of the building by Capitol Police.

Though The Regime hasn't offered this excuse yet, I think they will: They'll say that the cops were giving the "insurrectionists" a tour because orders came down that the best way to handle the crowd was to give them the soft treatment. You know, like Baltimore gave "space to destroy" to its protesters.

If you treat them with kid gloves, you can get them to eventually leave the place of their own volition with a minimum of tumult and violence.

So they'll claim the cops were only showing the protesters around the place to reduce the chances of confrontation and destruction.

That's fine, but once you've given people permission to be inside the Capitol, you can't then turn around and prosecute them for trespassing inside the Capitol. Having granted, even impliedly or constructively, official government permission to be inside the Capitol, the government cannot then bring trespassing charges.

Charges can be brought for people who broke windows and forced their way into the building -- but not for anyone who just walked in. Certainly not for anyone who is being given a visitors' tour by police.

And yet that's what happened.

Did the government hide this video from public defenders? Or did the public defenders have the video and choose to railroad their clients by never making an issue of it?

If that sounds unlikely, bear in mind, all of these public defenders are dyed-in-the-wool Democrats, often of the "defund the police" extreme variety.

Also bear in mind that the entire DC judicial system was essentially a corrupt conspiracy to jail these people on the flimsiest of charges due to Trump Derangement. Even Trump-appointed lawyers were eager to throw people in jail for "parading."

Finally, defense lawyers play Let's Trade games with prosecutors all the time, making a deal to put one client that they don't like in jail in order to get leniency for a client they do like. Literally, that happens every single day in courthouse bathrooms. It should be illegal for a lawyer to trade one client's legal position to advance another completely different client, it should obviously be disabarrable -- including for the prosecuting attorney, who should not be a party to this gross legal abuse -- but it is so utterly common that the system just pretends it doesn't happen because if they did start cracking down on it, there would hardly be any defense attorneys or prosecutors left to try cases at all.

Did that happen in the January 6th cases? Did leftwing public defenders trade the legal position of the Trump protesters they hated to spring some Gentle Giants Who Were Just Turning Their Lives Around? Or maybe some good, decent Mostly Peaceful Protesters from antifa or BLM?

You know they did. It's not even a question. There is no way that QAnon Shaman's lawyer does not present these videos at trial, or just to back down prosecutors and get a deal, if she has them.

Unless she's made a very crooked deal, and not one for the benefit of QAnon Shaman.

Brian Sicknick was allegedly hit with a fire extinguisher so hard that the wound ultimately killed him.

Here's Sicknick walking around after this allegedly fatal wound, showing no signs of trauma or head injury:

Julie Kelly again:
American Greatness has also covered the lies about what happened to Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick, first raising doubts about the account of his death as early as February 2021. The media, Justice Department, leading Democrats, and the January 6 select committee claim Sicknick died as a result of scuffles with protesters that afternoon. But Carslon played a never-before-seen video of Sicknick walking around the inside of the building after the alleged attack where he appears to be healthy. A man from New Jersey, Julian Khater, pleaded guilty to spraying Sicknick with pepper spray after spending 18 months in the D.C. Gulag. He was sentenced to six years in prison.

One of Steve Hayes little pillowbiting sycophants responded "But Khater admitted he sprayed Sicknick!" Yeah, after being held incommunicado without any trial for eighteen months, yeah, at that point, you'll say anything to make a deal.

This is literally torture. This is what the third-world regimes that we send US troops to topple and destroy do.

The January 6th Committee also released a "sham" video to show that Senator Josh Hawley was, as Crisis Actor Michael Fanone opined, a "p*ssy," showing him running.

What they didn't show is that a lot of people were running, because they were told to run-- they were under orders to evacuate rapidly by the police.

Democrats and the Leftwing Media and NeverTrumpers -- but I repeat myself thrice -- are very mad that their lies are being exposed:

The people who cherry picked specific video clips to push a political narrative are complaining about others cherry picking specific video clips to counter that political narrative

Tucker will have more tonight, including an interview with a Capitol Hill police whistleblower. Julie Kelly is also slated to guest.
